Love this store!
High quality products and lovely staff. I have shopped for all these products for years while living in NY and Europe. They are priced as they cost, no more in this store. They staff is always warm and each piece is made my a craftsman. It is a relief to find in the Bay Area.

Nice things but way over priced, Management/Owner were rude to their associates.
I have been to Summer House on a few shopping trips and will not return again. Two of the times I was in there was a general unhappy vibe surrounding the upper management team. More than once I over heard the associates being spoken to in a very unprofessional manner. Having a retail background my self I will not tolerate this kind of behavior and there for I will not be returning to the establishment again.

Love this shop!
This is my absolute favorite store for home and gift purchases. It has such beautiful and unique things; bedding, books, tablewares, rugs, furnature, clothing, jewelry and those that work there are very helpful, especially the owner. I bought several pieces and she offered me a discount (and I certainly had not asked for one). If you like homewares or need a gift for yourself or another check Summer House out.

Over priced
Eclectic bunch of oddball stuff, extremely expensive, poorly displayed - there's too much in merchandise for such a small space. Proprietor very unfriendly, seems even bitter and unhappy and a snob to boot, which makes matters worse. With all the wonderful shops in downtown Mill Valley, there's plenty of competition and no need to endure this kind of shopping experience.
