hate to write this review, cuz no fault of management at allthe mechanics themselves are to blamescratched up my car nice n deep..I baby my car so I know every markthen they bent my novelty license plates on the front bumper pushing the car into the shop and left it bent for me to pick up, and oh yea, car full of greaseThe manager got my car the same day service which was great, but don't let your baby into the hands of these mechanics!send them a hoopty for mechanical failures only, because this place does not offer total car care. told management bout it, and they said the tow guy may had something to do with it..nada, I gave the car a once over after unloading the carand once again before leaving the shoplike I said, I baby my carthese guys think you'll be happy if your engine is back in order, forget the paint n, interior, or the hospitality paper grease mat so common in other shops...

I had a clutch rebuilt at this repair shop about a year and a half ago. I think they did good work, and it was done in a timely manner. I have since compared prices between this shop and others in the area, and I think they seem consistently high. I wouldn't say I was treated poorly, but I definitely left feeling stupid for allowing my clutch to get in such bad shape. At the end of the day, I care about good work at a good price and going to a mechanic that I can trust, but all things being equal, I'd like to go somewhere were I don't feel put in my place.

I have read the other reviews and agree that there is a somewhat higher level of honesty when dealing with Summit, however always be weary. My expereince does not include unneeded repairs granted, but most repair shops charge standard rates for lets say a tune up. A tune up on my car should literally take about the same time it takes to pull my car into the maze of a shop that Summit uses.Larger building = larger overhead, higher prices.They will charge you the standard rates for tune ups that take very little time whatsoever. Careful again.. Parts are marked upthey will often offer this fact themselves as a caveat to your price concerns stateing that someone has to get those parts i.e. 50% markup on the item for the 2 minutes it takes to order the parts for someone that will deliver them to their door. By the way many jobs like a tune up can be done by a novice these days which is a fact the will not relate to you even if you suggest such a perposterous notion. Furthermore, a customer that is seemingly distressed over cost will have thier anger redirected by mechanics by reference to the government and taxes"if it wasn't for those taxes then I could charge less"."the government has turned good mechanics into tax collectors".
This may be true to some extent but has no relevence. There is another issue, high pressure, They can be quite the bulldogs, elevating the severity of a needed repair to rush your decision....

we've taken our 96 Volvo & 97 Subaru to Summit since 2002. Our only regret is the time they didn't have some specialized equipment so we had to go elsewhere -- and paid dearly for it

I've been going to Summit for many years. Mark, Jane and Ti are the best. I've never had a bad experience. They are just simply excellent.
