We spent a very entertaining evening at the Sumop Japanese grill. The food is excellent and the staff makes your evening fun.

I have eaten hibachi or teppenyaki all over the country, and Sumo is some of the best. The Grill is on par with what is expected from a good hibachi restaurant. What makes Sumo stand out is the sushi. It is the best Wichita has to offer. What makes it great is the sushi is Japanese sushi, not the crud with mayonaise! If you want a great grill restaurant and great sushi, then Sumo is the place.
Definitely one of the best in town. Some things are a bit pricey - but worth every penny. And unless you are REALLY hungry... you'll always have leftovers to take home. Staff is friendly. Reservations are recommended. Sushi is always great. And the garlic fried rice blows all other rice out of the water. Great ambience.
Sumos is great! Fun atmosphere, friendly staff, and an always entertaining chef. The food is always fresh and grilled to perfection. At first it seems as if you won't get full, but by the end of the meal you'll be stuffed. Oh, and the best thing is the garlic fried rice! AMAZING!
I have eaten at Sumo's on several occasions. Each time the food and service were both wonderful. The new restaurant is very trendy and feels very classy when you walk in. The servers are very good and entertaining too. This is a great restaurant to take chldren to since they entertain you while cooking your food right in front of you. The food has always be outstanding. Be sure to call ahead for hours as they are only open for dinner on the weekends.
I always enjoy going to Sumo, there's a great atmosphere and the food is delicious. If you enjoy Japanese food, you can't go wrong with Sumo, not only is it entertaining but they have quality food and service as well.
They have a really nice looking restaurant, but their cooks aren't as entertaining as other Japanese steak houses. They didn't joke around with us and pretty much just cooked the food. Their prices are higher.
