I enjoy Sun Dial's design, its unique fine-dining experience, and so much more, but the food is a bit pricey, so I'd recommend this place for those great, special occasions. Weekends book up pretty... quickly, especially for the time slots around sunset! Overall, you can't leave town without at least visiting its observation level!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Great food. great price. I came here for an office party expecting the "same ol same ol" . . .I was pleasantly surprised to find the food and service to be fantastic.

The food was "okay". I would recommend going for drinks or dessert. The view is amazing, but the food isn't worth the pricetag.
Great place to go for the view but the food was mediocre for the price. Once was enough.
I definately agree that if it weren't for the view it wouldn't be worth going. Overpriced and limited menu, although it's worth it to go at least once.
My husband and I go to the Sundial whenever we get a chance for a special occasion dinner! The view is amazing, the staff is wonderful, the service is somewhat slow (but it has to be to appreciate the entire ambience/view(rotation). The waiter or waitress will ask if you have been there before, if not, they will explain the whole history and process of the rotation for you. The food is ok, the lounge upstairs is great, the mussels are out of this world, they are a must!
The view is excellent, making this a top choice for a first date. The food and drinks are ok and overly priced.

I enjoyed everything about our experience at the Sun Dial Restaurant. Along with everyone else, I think this restaurant has the best view in Atlanta. ...
The food is o.k. but the view is better on top. Our friends always like that. It is an awesome view unlike any other place.
Food is okay--limited menu. Our food had to be reheated on one occasion (our server said the kitchen is not located on the same level as the restaurant). Service is fairly slow. A "must do" though--you'll really enjoy the 71st story revolving view of the city.
Just like the title says. If you're looking for a special place with good food and great atmosphere, the Sun Dial is an excellent choice.
My husband and I had a small reception dinner at Sun Dial after our wedding. The food was average, but it being the night after our wedding, we could not be more pleased with the view and atmosphere (we went right at sundown). We went back for our 1 year anniversary and were dissappointed to see the exact same menu. The food is below average and outdated (along with the decor) but the view is one of a kind in Atlanta.
This is a must for any visit to ATL. Food is not great (although above average) but on a clear day the view from the top of the Westin is great. If you're on a budget, you can go up another level to the bar.
the food was just ok, in fact, my steak was below average, but this place is recommended for the 360 degree view high atop the Westin Peachtree, I say go for drinks or some apps, but for lunch and dinner you might be disappointed by the cuisine
The food is good, but it's really about the view. Without the view it's just another over priced restaurant. Don't get me wrong, the food is good, really good actually, but I don't think anyone goes for the food. The view of the city from here is breathtaking and at night it's really amazing.
This is the kind of place you want to go for special occasions and/or when someone else is paying due to the splendid, rotating view of Atlanta. I'm a local and my aunt took me a few weeks ago. They didn't even have sweet tea! I was like, this is Atlanta! The server said, so few locals come that no one ever orders it. So I ordered Sweetwater, one of only two beers they have on draught there, and it was affordable at $4, unlike their mixed drinks. The Caesar salad was unique, a whole romaine heart with large parmesan slices on top. The seafood was decent. Not as good as Six Feet Under.
The view is great on a clear night..... however the food is overpriced and not that great tasting. We went to dinner there and then on a seperate ocassion just stayed at the bar and that was alot better, and cheaper.
