The salesman from Sun-Tec is stating that if your electric bill is $130 or higher per month - you can have their solar system (Solar Water Heater) as a Nothing Down Deal - with savings that will completely pay for your solar hot water system / loans or more! My electric bill varied from about $135 to $95 per month for an approx. average of about $115 - $120 per month - he assured me that the solar energy savings would at least cover the loans which came to $60+ dollars per month - Unfortunately my savings have averaged about $20-$25 dollars per month - At that rate my electric bill would have had to have be about $275-$350 per month to break even! WOW! They have fooled with my Sun-Tec Solar Energy system several times with no noticeable gains.I have waited about 8 months for the to Fix my system so they can get the claimed benefits. Sun-Tec gave up trying about 3 weeks ago and said they would do some "Blown-in Insulation" to try to help a bit - but my house is only 8 years old and very energy efficient - the insulation would probably equal about $0-$3 more in savings per month. UPDATE: They reneged on this! Been calling / emailing the Sun-Tec CEO for a month straight - virtually daily with NO response from - the Mysterious Owner / CEO who is too important to ever contact a customer. I am VERY concerned that they are making these same claims to 100's of people in my town - and that they are going through the same Hell - and being ignored! Beware!!!

Sun Tec solicited me at my home and with phone calls to buy a Solar water heating system. A salesperson by the name of Andrew came to my home. He said that I would save money on my FPL bill and ultimately it would pay for itself. In addition he said, why pay FPL when you can pay $56.00 a month, no financing charges, and save at least that amount per month on your FPL bill. After the system was installed 2 days later the finance company, ISPC, called me to tell me that I was being charged 8.8% immediately, even on the $1000.00 rebate that needed to be filed with FPL. The system costs $9,987.00. My current FPL bills show greater kw usage daily compared to last year for two months in a row now. I gave them the opportunity to check the system, which they did and found no problems. After numerous phone calls and a few weeks went by, I got a call from Mr. David Larkin today to discuss the situation. He was rude offensive and started citing Florida state statues seemingly like he has been through these situations before. I want to return the system since it doesn't work. Mr. Larkin told me rather quickly the name of his attorney again seemingly like he has done this to homeowners on many occasions. This is a complete rip off. The solar heating system is only worth the price of a regular water heater and no more.
