Worst, Worst in Town
SunTrust is the worst bank in town. DO NOT BANK HERE!! No one takes ownership of your issues. I am a good customer, good credit, etc. but my account was closed due to incompetence and now no one knows where my money is (the balance that was in my account simply vanished). I may end up filing a complaint with the Federal Reserve. It is just bizarre - they closed my account that had money it and no one seems to know where the money went. Thankfully this was just one small account I used for my business and I have other accounts. Otherwise, I'd be in quite an inconvenient situation! Another thing I have experienced that my business partner has also experienced with them - it takes forever for money to show up in the account. Check clearing takes a long time and whenever you call to inquire, the customer service agents don't have enough information. Additionally, I've called in and asked a question, and had a fee show up in my account as a result of my question. But they never told me it cost $$$ to ask a question!
