Sunrise Moving & Storage provided the absolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced! Eli, the owner, is unprofessional, dishonest and a horrible business man. I have moved over ten times as an adult (military) and have never experienced anything close to the nightmare that Sunrise put me through. In a nutshell, we needed our goods packed on a Thursday and finished loading and moved to new location on Friday. I confirmed this verbally 4 separate times with both Johnny, the sales rep and Charlene, the owners wife. I later came to find that it didn't matter what Johnny and I discussed, once we signed on Sunrise to handle our move, everything was up to Sunrise. Their movers were almost 2 hours late both days of the packup, my goods were delivered to Memphis 2 days late, and Eli called me a liar to my face (as he did not believe that I did, indeed, needed my goods out on Friday because I had tenants moving in Saturday morning). Eli, and his wife, (who by the way run this fine business out of their living room) are CROOKS as they charged my husband and I over 300 dollars more than our quote and signed receipt stated. It took me contacting Wheaton Van Lines for them to remove the overcharge. They claimed it was some sort of "waiting fee" . I guess they forgot we were the ones who had to wait two extra days for delivery for our goods. Save yourselves the pain, DO NOT EVER USE SUNRISE MOVING & STORAGE!

In reponse to this review, we would like to address several allegations made by this shipper. First, she was NEVER told that her shipment would load and deliver in the same day, as not only would it be physically impossible, but it would be illegal. She was told on several occasions that her shipment would be packed on Thursday 12/17, loaded on Friday 12/18, and delivered between 12/19-28, with the possibility that it would be delivered on the 19th or 20th depending on what time they finished loading on Friday 12/18. This shipment was moving 367 miles away, nearly a 7 hour drive, and there are laws and regulations that we must follow. On loading day we explained since the crew did not finish loading until after 6 PM we would send the crew out in the AM, and delivery would be made on the morning of Sunday December 20, 2009. She crossed out the delivery spread on the Bill of Lading and changed the dates in her hadnwriting to deliver on 12/19/09. We had her correct that upon delivery. She alleges that we were two days late, when in fact we arrived exactly when we told her we would. Instead of paying for her services and allowing the shipment to be unloaded, she withheld payment until after 1:30pm. We had to call the police to her home, as they refused to pay for her move, stating we were 1 day late. Now in her response she claims we were 2 days late. In fact, we were not late at all. Our driver waited patiently until payment was received so that he may deliver her goods. She agreed to the $315 waiting fee, and later disputed it. She states in her response, that she has moved several times as an adult with the Military, if this were true, then she would know the rules regarding delivery, as the Military have members educated about these things. I personally explained to her on the Wednesday before packing as well as on packing day that it would be illegal to have her goods loaded and delivered that far away in one day. She also alleges that she confirmed on 4 separate occasions with Johnny and Charlene. This is not true. It was explained to her by Johnny, as well as by Charlene on several occasions that it would be within a day or two, depending on what time the crew finishes loading. She also alleges that Sunrise Moving is run out of a living room, google the address it is clearly a warehouse in an industrial district. The $315 was agreed upon and is a legal charge for having the driver, truck and crew wait over 5 hours to receive payment. She alleges we are "crooks" however, she fails to mention that we moved more weight than agreed upon, delivered on a Sunday without any additional charges. The only charge in addition to her estimated amount, was for the waiting time. We arrived exactly when we told her we would. We had to call the police to her home to explain this to her. This shipper clearly is dishonest.
Had the worst experience with them. Arrived by 6 hours late.did not offer the initial quote they gave.very poor customer service.The owner is a very irresponsible person.I wish I had given them negative rating if available.

"kudrev1" clearly is not a customer of Sunrise Moving. This review should be removed as it is false.
On Feb 12,2009 I use sunrise moving to move out my one bedroom apt.Did not have a new place yet so decided to use there storage space also.Everything went ok for that day.about two weeks later I call to set up a deliver time which was 3 days later-well to my suprise I went out of town and could not get back due to bad weather so I called to Cancel it was early in the morning(8:10am) was told by Rep its ok that it was snowing here and call back when ready-so about two weeks later I called again to set up deliver time and was told that I have a balance of 5 1/2hrs added to my account because they had to load and unload the truck with my things. I told them remember I called to cancel before my deliver time and you said ok.To make a long story short it is now almost three months later still no furniture and the price keep getting higher and higher.I started off with paying $276.00 the first time and now its costing me triple to get my things. Please!please make should this dose not happing to you. Nice company but is money crazzzzzzzzy.

I used Sunrise to move me from Gwinnett County to Atlanta and they did a fantastic job. They called and said they were running 30 to 60 minutes later than the agreed upon arrival time due to not being able to find gas, it was good service to call and let us know. They arrived with six workers and two trucks, as we agreed on, and they got right to work. They did a fantastic job in wrapping items with blankets and took great care of all of my items. No furniture was damaged and all items arrived in good shape. They worked hard and efficiently and all of the movers were very nice and courteous. The price was as agreed upon, even though it took them 1.5 hours more than they estimated. These are excellent movers and I will recommend them to anyone moving. Eli and his team are quality movers.

This is the worst experience I've ever had with a mover. They didn't provide me with what they promised, and their customer service is absolutely horrible! I actually got into an altercation with one of the movers and had to call the police because he cursed me out and drove off with my stuff! This happened all as I was trying to sign the final paperwork and pay even though they came 6 hours late and didn't come prepared with all the extra crates and boxes they wanted me to pay for and then promised that they would fully cover anything damaged in transit to their warehouse. I had the owner Eli on speaker phone while the whole thing took place and later he said that I provoked the mover. As I cried on the phone to him and asked him how would he feel if this man treated his wife or daughter the way this man treated me, he showed no remorse and acted as if it were my fault. I still haven't resolved my issue with them and they won't respond to my BBB complaints. I moved out of the country and have designated a friend to try to resolve the issue for me. However, they didn't show up to any of his appointments and now I have to fly from Asia ($2100 rdtrp) all the way back to Atlanta just to try to resolve the issue. I am shocked and appalled at the way they've handled the situation blamed me for this incident. DON'T EVER USE THIS MOVER!!!!

Great job on moving our office, especially working with property management on a short term notice. Guys all in uniform, on time, courteous and respectful. Great care of all items, very efficient. Will definitely tell all clients to look you up when in need. Thanks again for the sensitivity to our needs.

When Sunrise Moving & Storage came to initially move me, they marked everything as scratched. When I asked them about this, they told me that this was normal procedure and not to worry because they would "take care of me." As a result of the move, many items were damaged and now, Sunrise is not willing to give me full replacement value. They are looking to give me USED items as replacement or a couple dollars to fix parts that obviously cannot be fixed.... When I called the owner to advise him of the damages - he told me he didn't care and to just send in my claim form... Additionally, they do not return calls once your move is complete. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND this company.

In response to mf2008, she had a valid claim, however, when she learned that we are responsible for "repair or replace" damaged items, she was upset, as she wanted a cash payout, not repair to the items. As to the statement "When I called the owner to advise him of the damages - he told me he didn't care" was taken out of context. His statement was that he did not care about a "house warming party, but only about repairing any damages". She wanted not repair, and not replacement, but a lump sum payout, of more than what it would cost to repair her 4 items that were damaged. We have made numerous attempts, with no success to repair the damaged items. If an item is repairable, it will be repaired. If it is not, than it is replaced as required in the Tariff that governs Movers.
I recently used Sunrise Moving and Storage. I have never been in contact with a better group of workers. From the time of my in home estimate until the move was completed everything was top notch. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing this type of service.

I unfortunately, had a bad experience with these movers. Not only did I have furniture banged up and broken, but I also had personal property stolen from me. It is a shame how the entire ordeal unfolded as I worked side by side with these men to make the move goes as quickly and smoothly as possible. I used their service because of their minimum time limit and hourly cost, but of course, you get what you pay for. Extremely disappointed.

I had a couple of moving companies come out to my home to give me quotes on my move from Alpharetta to Suwanee. The quotes where all over the place and a lot of promises too. Sunrise moving gave me a not to exceed quote. not only did they do the job with no issues they also came in under the quote. I was really happy with Sunrise Moving,

Dear Readers, Why you should use Sunrise Moving & Storage Co. you may ask, because my friend used them and she sayed them where great, they had great and very nice works. She told me to use them when I moved and I did. They all work very hard and they did a great job too. So if you are looking at this and you don't belive me then use them and you will see what I mean.
