I interviewed 4 moving companies and went with Sunrise due to recommendations, Charlene the moving coordinator, and price. I was not disappointed. There were no glitches or surprises. No damages.... Always on time. Charge was binding from the beginning and very fair. Besides Charlene, Eli the head mover was awesome!!! He and crew worked harder and faster than you could even ask for. I had used Sunrise in my first move about 2 years ago and this time around I called them with a 4 day notice and they definitely put together a good crew of 4 guys. Steve and his crew of Kone, Louis... and Jorge. It was a whole day job and two trips after all the stuff was moved intact. It was a 3 brdm move. Disassembled and re-assembled the furniture properly. Thank you, Eli and Sunrise for your excellent service. I got three quotes for my move and Sunrise was the lowest. They arrived on time and made an intown move a lot easier than I had expected.
On Feb 12,2009 I use sunrise moving to move out my one bedroom apt.Did not have a new place yet so decided to use there storage space also.Everything went ok for that day.about two weeks later I call to set up a deliver time which was 3 days later-well to my suprise I went out of town and could not get back due to bad weather so I called to Cancel it was early in the morning(8:10am) was told by Rep its ok that it was snowing here and call back when ready-so about two weeks later I called again to set up deliver time and was told that I have a balance of 5 1/2hrs added to my account because they had to load and unload the truck with my things. I told them remember I called to cancel before my deliver time and you said ok.To make a long story short it is now almost three months later still no furniture and the price keep getting higher and higher.I started off with paying $276.00 the first time and now its costing me triple to get my things. Please!please make should this dose not happing to you. Nice company but is money crazzzzzzzzy.
I used Sunrise to move me from Gwinnett County to Atlanta and they did a fantastic job. They called and said they were running 30 to 60 minutes later than the agreed upon arrival time due to not being able to find gas, it was good service to call and let us know. They arrived with six workers and two trucks, as we agreed on, and they got right to work. They did a fantastic job in wrapping items with blankets and took great care of all of my items. No furniture was damaged and all items arrived in good shape. They worked hard and efficiently and all of the movers were very nice and courteous. The price was as agreed upon, even though it took them 1.5 hours more than they estimated. These are excellent movers and I will recommend them to anyone moving. Eli and his team are quality movers.
This is the worst experience I've ever had with a mover. They didn't provide me with what they promised, and their customer service is absolutely horrible! I actually got into an altercation with one of the movers and had to call the police because he cursed me out and drove off with my stuff! This happened all as I was trying to sign the final paperwork and pay even though they came 6 hours late and didn't come prepared with all the extra crates and boxes they wanted me to pay for and then promised that they would fully cover anything damaged in transit to their warehouse. I had the owner Eli on speaker phone while the whole thing took place and later he said that I provoked the mover. As I cried on the phone to him and asked him how would he feel if this man treated his wife or daughter the way this man treated me, he showed no remorse and acted as if it were my fault. I still haven't resolved my issue with them and they won't respond to my BBB complaints. I moved out of the country and have designated a friend to try to resolve the issue for me. However, they didn't show up to any of his appointments and now I have to fly from Asia ($2100 rdtrp) all the way back to Atlanta just to try to resolve the issue. I am shocked and appalled at the way they've handled the situation blamed me for this incident. DON'T EVER USE THIS MOVER!!!!
Great job on moving our office, especially working with property management on a short term notice. Guys all in uniform, on time, courteous and respectful. Great care of all items, very efficient. Will definitely tell all clients to look you up when in need. Thanks again for the sensitivity to our needs.

When Sunrise Moving & Storage came to initially move me, they marked everything as scratched. When I asked them about this, they told me that this was normal procedure and not to worry because they would “take care of me.” As a result of the move, many items were damaged and now, Sunrise is not willing to give me full replacement value. They are looking to give me USED items as replacement or a couple dollars to fix parts that obviously cannot be fixed.... When I called the owner to advise him of the damages - he told me he didn't care and to just send in my claim form... Additionally, they do not return calls once your move is complete. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND this company.
In response to mf2008, she had a valid claim, however, when she learned that we are responsible for "repair or replace" damaged items, she was upset, as she wanted a cash payout, not repair to the items. As to the statement "When I called the owner to advise him of the damages - he told me he didn't care" was taken out of context. His statement was that he did not care about a "house warming party, but only about repairing any damages". She wanted not repair, and not replacement, but a lump sum payout, of more than what it would cost to repair her 4 items that were damaged. We have made numerous attempts, with no success to repair the damaged items. If an item is repairable, it will be repaired. If it is not, than it is replaced as required in the Tariff that governs Movers.
I recently used Sunrise Moving and Storage. I have never been in contact with a better group of workers. From the time of my in home estimate until the move was completed everything was top notch. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing this type of service.
I unfortunately, had a bad experience with these movers. Not only did I have furniture banged up and broken, but I also had personal property stolen from me. It is a shame how the entire ordeal unfolded as I worked side by side with these men to make the move goes as quickly and smoothly as possible. I used their service because of their minimum time limit and hourly cost, but of course, you get what you pay for. Extremely disappointed.
I had a couple of moving companies come out to my home to give me quotes on my move from Alpharetta to Suwanee. The quotes where all over the place and a lot of promises too. Sunrise moving gave me a not to exceed quote. not only did they do the job with no issues they also came in under the quote. I was really happy with Sunrise Moving,

She told me to use them when I moved and I did. They all work very hard and they did a great job too. So if you are looking at this and you don't belive me then use them and you will see what I mean. Moving was made so much easier by the folks at Sunrise. From beginning to end, constant contact, hard workers, and really out to help ease the stress. Our estimate was binding, and at our deivery there was no surprises. A few minutes late, but we understand the Atlanta Traffic. Will refer all friends!
We chose Sunrise because of reviews we saw on Kudzu - and I see those are no longer here! This move was scheduled two months in advanced, and pickup and delivery times were confirmed the day before the move. They wre late arriving, but packed swiftly. Jason, the person in charge of the pickup told us that delivery would be 11:30 to 1:30 the next day. We were called that night at 9 to say that they would be there at 6 the next morning (and we were 140 miles away) then changed to 3. The furniture FINALLY got there at 7 that evening...
In response to "kcjack"(we will honor his privacy)'s review, we would like to address that there are federal laws that state that a driver cannot work for more than 14 hours consecutively. This includes fueling, driving, loading and unloading time. Mr. "kcjack" signed an order for service loading on 7/13/06 and redelivery on 7/14/06. At no point did his salesperson, or our Operations department guarantee a delivery time being in the morning of the 14th. He did receive his shipment on 7/14/06, after the driver had his scheduled time off. We held our end of our contract. Mr. Kcjack states that he was 140 miles away, when in fact it was 250 miles from our warehouse to his door. When Mr. Kcjack was called to be advised that we would arrive at 6 it was 6pm, not am, and he was well aware of this.
Sunrise movers quoted me that my move would be 6 hours with 4 movers at rate of 105.00 dollars an hour. Instead of taking 6 hours they took 11 hours. They failed to ammended the quote or call me prior to the extra hours. There were 4 men there to move us. We prepacked everything in the our 2200 sq foot house. The movers did not have to pack anything. All they had to do is load the truck and take it to storage. My house is less than 20 miles from their storage facility. Because the movers did not show up on the right day, I was unable to supervise the move. The owner told me it was my fault that the time doubled because I was not there to supervise.

We can state that it is highly unlikely, as we never tell a customer how long it will take to move, as we are unaware of the destination conditions. We advise of our hourly rate (which is not the rate listed above). We advise our shippers of our minimum, and that any time over the minimum will be broken down into quarter hour increments.
