Pretty Decent, 4/11/2011

My first time visiting there, I found the doctor to be extremely nice and quite thorough. He actually talked through my astigmatism and explained what it really meant for my vision (no one ever did... that before). He's actually the only reason I'd ever go back there. The service left much to be desired. The cashiers/desk clerks were obviously ready to leave and weren't very helpful. And I came back with a friend for her to get lenses and we weren't even greeted. Needless to say, they lost a customer with her. She went to Alpharetta Eye right down the street. Like I said, I will return because I think the doctor was great but I really wish they would do a better job of emphasizing the importance of customer service to their employees.

Impersonal and Volume Driven Service, 12/06/2010

While the doctors have always been excellent the customer service is aweful. Receptionists have told me they'd call when my contacts were in and neglected to call. My original contacts were no... longer manufactured so I was given a different contact. I had no idea the new contacts would end up not fitting my eye and when I came to return them I was told I should have kept the original packaging and that I would have to pay for the new ones. After consulting with the doctor the receptionist came back and I was told "We will credit you this time but we won't do this again". The staff also was unclear about what trial I had been given and asked me to confirm the contact make/model. Finally, I called today to schedule an appointment for an exam and first contact fitting for my son and was told "We can schedule you for the exam but this is our busiest time of year and we take walk in's so if we're busy after the exam we may need to reschedule your sons fitting" Very impersonal and volume driven, changing providers.

fine exam but couldn't get the lenses right

I chose to visit Sure Sight because they were listed as a recommended provider on my insurance company's website. They were nice. The exam was fine. They are accomodating with fittings -- trying many different contact lenses to find a brand and strength that worked. The technician pulled out lots of lenses for us to try but, he didn't write down which one we liked and went home with. By the time we called back to order the trial lenses, they had written down the wrong brand and strength. We had to go back multiple times to try and get the right lenses that would allow us to see well enough for our daily needs (i.e. reading your cell phone, reading your laptop, driving). They were nice in allowing us to try at least 3 or 4 types of lenses. But if the first technician had just written down the specific lenses that we found worked at the first visit, we would have saved ourselves lots of time, effort, and wasted gas. Make sure, if you go there, and get fitted for a new contact lense prescription that you keep the manufacturer's package that the lense was in. It will save you a lot of time and effort.
