Went with a group on friends on a Friday and it was very loud in here. Not sure if it was the clientele or if this is customary here. I ordered the green curry softshell crabs and would give them a 7... on a scale of 1-10. Not bad, but didn't knock my socks off either. My friend ordered the Nam Sod and it was divine.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

Our family absolutely loves Surin! Great food, great service and kid friendly! Our 4 year old loves the potstickers! We have been eating here for over 8 years, and we always go there to celebrate special occasions!
I LOVE THAI FOOD so this is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. The atmospher is perfect for a date or for any special occasion.
I've been to many Thai restaurants and Surin's has always been my favorite. And their service is so much better than the rest of them.
Surin's food is always a treat. I particularly love their coconut soup. The servers are attentive and the restaurant has a nice ambiance.
Surin is one of our favorite Thai restaurants in Atlanta. Good food, good prices. If we have people in from out of town it is one of the restaurants we try to take them to.
I always rate a Thai place on their Pad Thai....and Surin knocked it out of the park. Awesome food! Loved the mango and rice dessert. Delicious!!!
Great menu. Nice space, from the huge flower sculpture that greats you as you enter, to the simple B&W framed photos of Thai life, Surin offers a nice space to enjoy good Thai food. (This restaurant is also a good place to go to break up with someone. Spacing is more NY than ATL which means less likelihood of a scene.)
I moved to VA highlands 2.5 years ago and can honestly say I have eaten at Surin more than 75 times. It is consistently fresh, delicious, and the service is always top notch. The appetizers are a treat, and my favorites dishes are the tofu coconut soup, masaman chicken, pad woon sen, and chicken panang. I always bring out of town guests here, and they are wowed by the urban ambiance and tasty food. The drinks are on the pricier side, but if you go on certain week nights, their apps are 1/2 off. There are other great Thai places in Atlanta, but Surin is my #1!
There are some really good things on the menu, but in my opinion, the best Thai was Pad Thai on Virginia. (But now it's gone.) The atmosphere is fun - NYC-ish, the service quick and reliable.
This restaurant has some of the most delicious and affordable Thai dishes in Atlanta. I would definitely recommend starting the meal with the coconut soup, which is incredibly tasty and feels especially good in the winter. Some other favorites of mine are the Masaman Chicken and the Thai BBQ Chicken. The desserts are a bit overpriced and not necessarily the best of their offerings, but the main entrees are good value. The décor is simple, yet elegant, and the atmosphere is very pleasant.
Honestly, i've had better thai food at other less expensive restaurants. Thai Palette comes to mind. The atmosphere is nice of course in the highlands. Give it a try and compare though
I'm really indifferent to Surin. It's pretty good food. The service is OK. The best thing it has going for it is that it's in a prime location on North Highlands. So, if you're out for a night in the Highlands, it's a good place to grab a bite before hitting Dark Horse or Hand in Hand.
