I took my sick toddler for a doctor visit first thing in the morning as they opened. We did not have an appointment, but my child was sick all evening and symptoms were getting worse. Ultimately we were told that the doctor did not accept walk-ins and were sent away. While I completely agree that most visits should be scheduled in advance, I think the pediatrician should acknowledge that advanced scheduling is not always an option with sick children. In fact, isn't that the whole reason behind getting into pediatrics... to help sick children? Well obviously not at Sweetwater Pediatrics. What really made me upset was the fact that I was told that if my son was a regular patient the doctor may have seen him, but new patients have too much paper work associated with initial setup and the front desk did not want to deal with it that morning. Unbelievable! I took my child to the urgent care center on peachtree industrial and they treated him for strep throat. I would recommend against taking your child to Sweetwater Pediatrics!

We are pleased to choose this pediatrician. The Doc is very simple and gives full attention to the patient during the visit. You can ask anything. Best thing is the off-hours calling service. The Doc replies on weekends, in the night if there is any emergency. This assures that my child is safe. And no unecessary medicines given.
