Thw work and service was excellent. Contractor did everything they said they would do, and even did extras. I would 100% recommend using this contractor for ceramic tile installation. They take full responsibiltiy for their work.

We contracted Switzerland Tile to repair a shower floor and at that time asked for a quote to install a kitchen back splash. The installer took measurements, quoted between $400.00 and $500.00 and told us we would need 35 square feet of tile. I recorded this information while the installer was present. A written quote for the cost or the amount of tile needed was not provided. The amount of tile we were told we needed was significantly over estimated. We purchased 7 boxes of 5.5 square feet of tile (38.5 square feet total) and only needed 3 boxes (16.5 square feet total) to cover a 15 square foot area. We spent $303.67 more than necessary. We decided to keep one of the 4 extra boxes of tile in case repairs were needed in the future and contacted the tile supplier to find out if we could return 3 of the extra boxes of tile. We were told the tile could be returned, but not without a 20% restocking fee and a $60.00 shipping fee. We would have to pay $105.57 to return $227.75 of tile. I was able to get the tile company's corporate office to reduce the restock fee and waive the shipping to reduce the cost to return the tile to $36.00. Through use of the Northeast Florida Better Business Bureau's mediation services we were able to provide this information to Switzerland Tile and they agreed to the $36.00.
