My wife and I went to TAP. Asked to be seated outside and hostess took us to an upstairs table. Food was okay, server good as well. My wife witnessed a server eat fries directly from my plate. While I am sure this often takes place I am sure it is rarely seen. Was disturbing.

TAP is buzzing around 4 p.m. during the week. With so many businesses surrounding it in the heart of Midtown, it's hard to find a more sophisticated after-work crowd. The food is different (a little weird) - but if you can get the waiter to translate what you're actually ordering, you'll probably enjoy your meal. You may still be hungry - but it's tasty. I'd vote to go here as "drinks before dinner" instead of making this the main event.

We were very disappointed in our experience at Tap. The food was not very good at all, it was very greasy and not terribly tasty. The restaurant was very hot and uncomfortable. Our waitress tried her best to help get the air going but be were very uncomfortable. The menu is missing some key details which is unhelpful when you have food allergies or dislikes. We would not go back given all the tastier options.
