Conveniently located near public transportation, I-17 and 101; T.L.C. Child Enrichment's 4900sq ft facility is large enough to provide the amenities growing children need yet small enough to ensure they receive the attention they deserve. Call.. or stop by to experience the T.L.C. difference.
I had went there one evening to register my son, I arrived one hour before the scheduled closing time, which I understand can be a busy time however that is all my schedule could permit. However, when I walked in a chime went off to indicate someone came through the door; there was no one at the front desk and not one teacher or child care provider came to the front to see who was coming through the door. Parents began entering the building to pick up their children and no one said anything to me. As I stood at the front desk for over 20 minutes I began to get very agitated and my son was getting antsy. One teacher came to the front desk, smiled at me, said nothing and continued to do what she was doing and walked away. Children were wandering around unattended and close to the front door at which is very dangerous from a parents perspective. I would not trust that this childcare facility is taking the appropriate precautions to keep children safe as well as not having someone at the front desk at all times. I am disappointed with the level of service or lack there of and I am definitely not sending my son here for child care. Any parent should reconsider investigating the security measures of this facility.

Wonderful personnel and facility. Both my daughters love the staff and I also find they're always helpful, kind and engaging. They have many educational and fun activities both indoor and out and my girls always have a wonderful time. Very flexible and convenient and just a GREAT experience! Highly recommend.

This is in response to the Director's reply regarding my visit yesterday. I only visited TLC and no other facility yesterday. I have been in search of quality care for well over two weeks now. Rest assured there is no confusion. I did ask direct questions and you did show me the back classroom near the playground. You mentioned how toddlers tend to clash when their personalities are the same and that the empty classroom was for children who have a difficult time coinciding with their own classroom. In addition, you did not show me any bathrooms, kitchen or academic structure. A tour should include a valid ID from a stranger before entering the classrooms as well. Other childcare facilities do have codes for parents to use as safety measures when entering those buildings and facing a toddler against the wall with his/her nose touching the wall is not equivalent to a "time-out". Time-out is supposed to be a brief pause and its purpose being to allow the child a chance to practice self-calming skills. Time-out isn't a corner; it's not a length of time. It should only be used for safety purposes and positive reinforcement should otherwise be the focal point. I did not misunderstand what was said, I simply do not agree. As someone who cares about the safety and well being of children, I am clearly addressing my concerns so that other parents do not find themselves in deep regret later. I appreciate the tour and your honesty, but TLC is not a place for my toddler.

I hope this note is received in the best of health and spirits. It's unfortunate that there is a misconception on our discipline policy.
With this in mind, thank you for reaching out to me, we appreciate the opportunity to clarify the matter of our discipline policy.
T.L.C. Child Enrichment's discipline policy is in direct alignment with AZDHS Child Care Licensing requirements and no child is ever placed in a room or separated from their class. Discipline for negative behaviors includes time out from normal activity and an age-appropriate discussion to encourage positive behavior, self-control and making throughout our center. T.L.C. Child Enrichment utilizes our Core Value Curriculum to care for and educate children, which is reinforced through creative postings, notifications and our day-to-day interactions.
At T.L.C. Child Enrichment, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality care at affordable pricing. Large classrooms and a low Educator to child ratios ensure our children have the space and attention needed to learn and grow. In every classroom smiling, happy children can be found ready for a hug and a kind word. Children of all ages love to play, learn and grow at T.L.C. Child Enrichment.
We thank you for your interest and wish you the best with your child care search.
