I called to arrange a sitter for two nights through this service for an out of town wedding in August. My plans changed a week later, and I called the company to explain that I no longer needed the service. I was told that my $30/day fee for securing a sitter would not be refunded even though I gave 3 weeks notice and had no plans of using the service for 2 days. The sitter that called me was subpar for the amount of $ I would be paying. They also require you to valet park your sitters. All this company does is take your money for no service. They also don't listen to your needs when you request a sitter- since this sitter was not a good fit for my family. DO NOT use this service unless you want to be ripped off. They love to charge you for services that aren't provided!!!!! There is a reason this company has other NEGATIVE reviews! BEWARE!!!

We were clients for 6+ years. Paid $3,000 for a permanent placement. When the nanny became ill we paid daily referrals fees for her substitute - a significant benefit to TLC which they had every contractual right to. When we tried to bring the original nanny back they told us we would have to pay another referral fee because they REHIRED her. The owner is ruthless and will cite fabricated contracts and clauses - despite having signed originals to the contrary. No way to treat a client. When it comes down to it they are content to take advantage of your misfortune (ill nanny) for a buck. As far as their permanent placement we got lucky. They sent over several women which were clearly no match for our family. And they weren't really concerned about it. Insisting we try them out. We luckily landed on one that worked but there was no care given as to who was placed. They just threw whatever they had at us hoping one would work.

I have been using TLC Sitters of Atlanta for several years and they have a great staff that works very hard to meet my needs. All of our caregivers have been timely, responsible and great with my kids. I would highly recommend them.

I used several TLC sitters in the past but I was never really happy with them. The sitters were usually not very active or outgoing with my children. Two of my friends used this company and had no problems, so I continued to try different sitters with hopes of finding one that I like. I eventually found one and hired her as my nanny. I must say that our experience with her was terrible. The agency was not helpful at all in making sure that she was a good fit for us and our family once we hired her. I think they were only interested in the money. The sitter/nanny was a different person with my kids while we were away from the home. I would never recommend this company or the sitters from TLC. If you think the people that they are sending to you seem a little weird, follow your instincts...you are probably right. The only good thing that I can say is that the sitters usually showed up on time.

I have been using TLC Sitters of Atlanta for over 5 years to care for my two boys (now ages 5 & 9) and our dog. The extra fees are well worth it to know that I can call at the last minute and they always cheerfully find me a sitter. Office staff is always polite and helpful. I have had only one (slight) problem with a sitter, but the situation was handled professionally and to my satisfaction. We request our favorite sitters and usually get the same one every time. We've used their sitters from two areas: Smyrna and College Park. I couldn't be happier with their services!

Our first experience with TLC was great, however we have had terrible luck with the caregivers ever since. Examples include not knowing how to use a bottle warmer correctly and feeding the baby refrigerator cold milk (and wondering why it was being spit up); poor attitudes; general inability to follow directions; and refusing to do any additional work rather than working with us and the agency to adjust the hourly rate accordingly (specifically, doing a load of laundry while the baby was sleeping) which entitles them to an additional $2 per hour) and in the end leaving the laundry in the washer. We tried at least 10 caregivers before giving up since our first one was so good. Cannot recommend. Only positive is that the office staff are friendly and try to be helpful.

I have no family in town so I have to rely on a babysitter service to look after my toddler. TLC is wonderful. I have used them a number of times but have been lucky enough to have the same sitters as I request them every time. You do pay a premium but you know you always have a sitter, they are going to be on time and they reliable. I would highly recommend them.

We've used this organization's services two times - both were good quality. There's the element of "you don't know who you are getting" which is a little strange, but at least both sitters were competent. In the most recent case, the sitter left a written summary of everything that happened! That was impressive.

Trustworthy, kind, caring and experienced: I was referred to this organization by my sister. I needed a qualified daycare provider for my child who was ill with a stomach virus at the very last minute (6 AM that day). TLC answered my call and had a caring, experienced nanny at my door by 8:30 AM. I was able to make my appointment knowing that my child was taken care of. The caregiver not only cared for my child, but ensured that he did his make up homework. WONDERFUL caregivers.
