I can't complain about this place. It has served my purpose of getting fed after hours. It is open and if you don't threash the place they won't call the cops on you. On the other hand, I don't... really see the point of going there when a proper Mexican or other type of food is available. It is inexpensive, though.

BEST Tex-Mex in Atlanta, 10/31/2007

Taco Cabana is one of my favorite restaurants. Must try the queso - ORANGE, not white! Great Tex-Mex served fresh, fast, and inexpensive. Nice place to sit - Help yourself to the soda fountain... without hovering wait staff. Good outdoor seating, often good people-watching. Great location and easy parking! As a bonus, they are open 24/7!

Burritos 24/7

Under various names & owners, this place has stood at Piedmont & Cheshire since at least the early 90s (probably long before.) Facts: 24/7, beer & margaritas, huge patio, bar-o-toppings to add anything from onion to cilantro, Latino music playing, bright & festive Mexican decor, patio birds so used to people they'll take tortillas from your hand, excellent people-watching spot. Their basic black bean burrito is vegan (no cheese, no animal products in the beans.) It comes with lettuce & you can add stuff at the toppings bar. Their chips & salsa are yummy. This isn't a CA-style burrito shop. It's Mexican. Your burrito beans haven't been marinated, there's no special flavoring in their salsa, & their chips are thick corn friend hard & crunchy. They also have a drive-through window, & the prices are cheap. The only downside? The parking lot is a bitch to get into or out of if you're going the Piedmont way.

Better if you're drunk ...

Strategically located at the intersection of Piedmont and Cheshire road, i.e. silicone alley, this is a decent dive for hot burritos after a long night at the T&A bar. However, if you're sober, it tastes like dog food. Blech. I'd rather have Taco Bell tell you the truth.

Honestly... I can not tell you how good the food is as the only time I ever eat here is on my way home from a night out.... it must be good; I keep going back....
