I went to sell some items at Tadpoles. The sign clearly states, "we buy Mon -Sat 9 to 3" I went on Monday at 10:30. No one was in the store. The employee walked out from the back on the phone and saw me standing there with a big container of clothes and 2 small children. I was not greeted at all. She went back to the back and continued to talk on the phone. Eventually she came back out and asked if she could help me, acting as if I was disturbing her. When I told her I had some clothes to sell, she very rudely replied, "I only buy Tues -Sat. I pointed out the sign that said Mon - Sat . She replied, 'I don't know why it says that." She did not even apologize for my inconvenience or that the sign was wrong. It's okay because I went across the street and not only was treated with respect but I received $120 for my used clothes. I will never go back to Tadpoles and I will make sure I share my experience.

I have been shopping at Tadpoles for about 2 years now and have had a great experience with them until today. I received a phone call from gentleman, who claimed to be one of the owners, and he was extremely rude. He told me that I had 48 hours to pick up the clothes that I was selling to the store or that it would be donated within 48 hours. I explained that I had just spoken with one of his sales reps on yesterday and she explained that I had plenty of time to pick up my clothes. I asked the owner if he would remind staff of their 48 hour pick up policy to avoid future miscommunications, and he refused stating that he did not know who I had spoken with and that their policy is in writing (I was not given a copy of any policy). I guess reminding all 6 of his staff of the policy would have been too much work to satisfy one customer. I am fine with following policy, but am highly upset with the way that the message was delivered by the owner. I am wondering how it could be that the Tadpoles sales people could be so sweet and courteous, yet the owner be so rude and unpleasant. Once Upon a Child consignment shop, across the street is looking better and better...

I have shopped at Tadpoles on occasion. I think for resale their prices are high ( I am an avid consignment & discount shopper). You can get brand new outfits next door at TJ Maxx for the same prices. Today was the first time I tried to sell items to Tadpoles. I called prior to going in and told them I had baby girls clothes from NB to 2T. They said they definitely needed those sizes. I lugged in a box of clothes, with my 2-year-old in tow, waited over an hour only to be told they would only buy the 2T items because they had way too much baby clothes on hand already. I completely understand that they cannot buy what they do not need, but considering I called them up front and specifically asked it was a real hassle to go through the work only to find out they didn't need the items any way. They did buy my 2T items at a VERY low price. I would probably try to sell via a yard sale or Craigslist next time, or just donate as it was not worth the effort.

Found same item, new at store for just $5 more. Asked for partial or full refund. Owner refused. This was my first visit to the store. I will never return. Customer service is not a priority with the owner. I will give kudos to the staff at the Kennesaw store. They were absolutely fantastic: sympathetic and understanding of my predicament.
