When we pulled into the parking lot we could see the line of people almost wrapped around the parking lot and almost left but decided to stay. I am so glad we stayed. The line is extremely long and it was really hot that day but when we finally got inside, it was worth it. The food was great and the prices were even better. If you ever go there, you have to try the shrimp corn chowder. It's spicy but so good!!!

The staff at this Howell Mill location is notoriously rude. Several of my friends and colleagues have mentioned how terrible the service at this restaurant is, and I have witnessed first hand the most outrageous chewings-out of the customers by the waitstaff and barstaff. (Yes, you read that rightthe STAFF chews out the customers.) For example, during my most recent (and last ever) visit to the Howell Mill location, I heard - first hand - the manager telling the customer right next to me, who was calmly raising a legitimate complaint about the service, that he (the manager) would not tolerate such "harrassment" from him (the customer), and that it "wasn't his job" to address the customer's problem. He then screamed out the name of the owner to the customer several times and told the customer that if he had an issue he should contact the owner. If you're dying for a Taqueria taco, check out the locations in Decatur or on Cheshire Bridge Road, and don't bother with the Howell Mill people....

This is one of my all time favorite places! Great margaritas and great unique food! Can't be beat! Fried Chicken Taco is a must!!! And the Guac!!!

I highly recommend trying the special tacos of the day. You won't be disappointed. This is not your average taco stand. I'd call it gourmet tacos. Get there early. If you wait until after 6, especially Thursday-Saturday, get ready to wait in line all the way into the parking lot. Also, the wait staff can be a bit pushy about lingering at your table too long after you eat.
