This place is NOT family friendly. You have to wait in a crowded line for one person to take your order. I tried to sit at a table with my child while my husband ordered and a staff person made us leave the table because according to him: "people are waiting for inside tables and it is 95 degrees outside and no one wants to sit outside." We had just arrived so I thought maybe people were really standing there, with their food, waiting for tablesonly they weren't. There were three other empty tables inside and everyone was going outside for a table. I thought perhaps that staff person had a mental issue—thinking people were there that really weren't, but then I saw another staff person make a young mother and her baby leave a table for the same reason. After we ordered we came back to the same inside table. I get it if people really are waiting for tables, but that was not the case. It is very loud, the food is just OK, and it's not worth the hassle. Taco-bouncersnot cool. We won't be back!...

Bartender handling to go orders refused to take more than one order at a time. Four folks ahead of me had to order and receive their food before he would even take my order. Why didn't I just leave? I like the tacos.

"Northern hospitality with Southern efficiency."Avoid this Faux-ican disaster. The only thing authentic was my disgust.We got such terrible and unjustified treatment here from the manager (as a group of people of color) that we thought the place might be run by bigots. Was ready to call the NAACP, until I read the citysearch reviews and learned that they are equal opportunity douchebags. And, seriously, the food is just "okay," at best. I don't see what the hype is about. Por favor.This place is so not worth it. You'll get better food and much better treatment elsewhere. I can only explain this place's popularity as a successful psychological manipulation - making people think that if the lines are long and customers put up with abuse, the food must be good and the place is worth it. Trust me, it ain't. Don't fall for it.

The owners of Taqueria in Decatur are rude. Most unfriendly place. Several of my business partners have actually walked out due to rudeness. They would rather enforce their table policy and loss customers than provide customer service. They expect a new mother with a baby to hold the baby and the baby seat while waiting in line or waiting for friedns in line. They would not allow my friend to sit at a table with her baby. They told us it was not allowed. We spent $70.00 that day for lunch. That will be the last dollars I will spend there. There were plently of tables. I could understand if it was packed, but it was not. There was no need for this rudeness.

They walk around staring at people so they will get up and leave in order to turn the table.

No food is that good.

I've been here recently (the Decatur location). I'm going to echo other reviews, but here's my take: (1) the service set-up is not terribly different from what you get at Moe's or a place at a mall food court. The line for service during lunch time is unreasonable in my opinion. So, I would be very unlikely to go there again if there was a line. (2) The food is good -- an interesting menu and it is cooked well. But overall, it's not much better than Moe's and the prices are similar enough. I think this place is a good neighborhood eatery, but it's not exactly the gem that many reviewers say...
