On 8/19/2012, my girlfriend and I had dinner at a restaurant (Spundivits) and upon my return to the car, I found the car had been towed. After asking around, some patrons informed me to go inside the Waffle House where I had parked the vehicle to see if they had called to have the vehicle towed. The Waffle House personnel informed me that all vehicles parked in their parking spots were towed. This was my first time ever eating on that side of town, and when I parked my vehicle, there was a Waffle House employee by the name of Shane that was standing outside who never mentioned such action would be taken if I parked there. After getting the number of the towing service that picked up the car, myself and my girlfriend proceeded to call the towing company to see about getting the car back. We reached a representative named Adrian who informed us the driver named JC was in the area and if we had $125 cash they would let us have the car. After meeting JC in the parking lot across the street of a Motel 6, and me agreeing to pay the $125 cash to release the car, another gentleman who failed to give me his name when I requested it (his vehicle tag number is BXZ 2587)came and said we also owe $75 cash for a boot fee! I said the price quoted to me over the phone by Adrian was $125 cash to get my vehicle, once I persisted to ask the gentleman for his name, he got irritated and told JC to drive the vehicle to the lot and that we wouldn't be getting the vehicle back until the next d

I will mention a positive first..the company was able to pull the UHaul out of the mud. It was dark, wet, rainy, and basically just miserable. The operator was nice and knew how to do his job well. However, it was a job and took a bit longer than they expected. So...after the truck was pulled out, the owner decided that due to the time it took, he was going to add on another 50.00 to the bill even though the quoted price was 230.00. An agreement was reached only after a call was made to the sheriff's office. The owner decided at that time to go ahead and take the original 230.00. We think it's because the driver at the site finally said he was finished and leaving and police were on the way. Anyway, don't let them rip you off because a job takes longer than they expected!
