We picked Tim based on recommendations from our neighbors. His estimate was lower than others we had received, so we went with Tim. At the end of the day after he had completed all of the projects except one(he replaced some bad cast iron pipe, installed a new garbage disposer, and installed a new faucet among other things), we discovered that the water pressure to the house was abnormally low. Tim diagnosed it as a bad underground pipe (galvanized pipe clogged with rust). He said it was possible that the rust would wash out and pressure would normalize. He refused to do the last project (repair a leak where the galvanized pipe entered the house) because if he had to replace the whole line (a very expensive job) the leaking portion would be replaced then. Well I did a little internet research after Tim left and learned that pressure regulator valves have screens that get clogged. I spent a few minutes to clean out the screen and pressure normalized. Tim did not check this screen. When I called Tim back to finally repair the small leak he had initially refused to repair, his price had gone up $100. All in all, Tim does good work for less money than his peers generally charge. But he missed something major on our job that could have cost us a lot of money if I had not checked on it myself. That's ok because mistakes happen. But raising his price by $100 for the remaining project means I won't use him again.

I had called Tim because I had a leak in my shower handles and he came out the same day late in the afternoon. He was not able to do the job the same day but he told me his estimate and it seemed to be lower than some of the competition. Called him back a few weeks later to follow up and he said that he remembered my situation and would still honor my price of the job. We set up an appointment for a few days later and I literally sent him a text confirmation of the date and time to his personal phone that he gave me. The morning of the appointment, I received a call from him an hour after the appointment time that his guy was running late and could be there in an hour or so. I was not able reschedule for the day because I had a busy rest of the day and told him that before we ever scheduled the first time. I asked what days could he do so we would not have the same problem again. We came to an agreement of labor day morning first thing. I called him on labor day afternoon asking where he was and he didn't even remember that he set an appointment with me until a few minutes into the call. He said that he totally forgot. I asked him if there was anything that he could do to make up for his errors both times and he offered to schedule me in three hours. I pretty much laughed because he would have just left me sitting there again.

I have never wrote a review before, because I've never had such an awful experience. Tim came out to "fix" a pipe under my deck. When said pipe wasn't working I called him back only to have him blow me off, twice. Wouldn't return my calls, etc... Find someone else, this guy is sketchy!!!

Tim sent 3 guys to my house to estimate the cost of job. They looked at everything, talked to Tim and then Tim said he would do the work for $300. I waited a week until Tim had time to do the work. When he finally showed up he said it would cost me $600. What a rip off. The sad part is my pregnant wife and I can't move into our house until the work is done and we wasted a week on this guy.

Hired Tim Chen after reading the reviews here, and he has done some good work on our old plumbing. Replaced some old pipes that needed to go, quickly and affordably, and did another smaller job in no time. Probably going to have him out to replace some more pipes in the next few months.

Tim Chen came the very next day, on a Saturday morning, to move the black cast iron pipe for the bathroom sink about 4" to enable installation of a new cabinet. Since he was here, he also moved the water line for another bath sink, installed a waterline and drain for a kitchen sink and DW. His prices were fair. He is fast and does good work. Will definitely use him again! I am pleased.

Tim has been working with us for 8 years now and I've always been happy with his work. He has helped us with plumbing for new master bath and laundry, water heater replacements, toilet/sink installs. He did work at our neighborhood pool including unclogging a drain line (he had a camera that he fished through the line to find the exact location of the blockage). I have recommended him to many friends and they say were happy with his work, but especially happy that the rates are lower than most franchise operators.

Tim was supposed have "someone" at my house @ 4:15-4:30. At 5:00 i called to find out what the problem was. HE BARELY REMEMBERED TALKING TO ME EARLIER. When I asked him why he didn't call to tell me he was running late, he HUNG UP on me! When I called right back, he wouldn't answer the phone!!

Who will show up--at any time--day or night, complete the work as requested and even check out any minor work/questions you have. We've had TC/Tim help us out 4 or more times and wouldn't call anyone else--unless he moved away or something ;)

Right around Christmas Tim's company installed a tankless hot water heater in my home. It was short notice and he was very busy but managed to get my install completed so I could get the rebate. He moved the location of the tank from the bathroom/laundry room to the crawl space and, of course, installed the vent. (I've put in a new cabinet where the water tank used to be and this is an added bonus!) The never-ending supply of hot water is wonderful .. especially when I have guests.

Tim and his crew did a great installation of a tankless water heater for a close friend on my recommendation. He comes totally prepared and does not wast any time. I am now hiring him to do some work for my Father. Tim is a good find!

My GC used them to do some plumbing in my house. They did excellent work, very conscientous. Tim even tweaked one of my toilets and changed out a part for no extra charge. I'd use them again.
