First off they never refund any deposit no matter how good you are. They charged me an extra months rent that I did not live there because they say I did not give them enough notice even though I lived there through the lease. I gave them 6 weeks notice but they wanted 2 months and would not work with me. Since my lease had expired they charged me on the month to month basis which was basically double my normal rent for a month I did not live there!! Then the roach's are out of control. The wall's are paper thin, the gate is broke most of the time, For a while I had people selling drugs outside my building. Oh yeah, I had someone open a Credit card in my name and managed to get it out of my mailbox before I found out. Someone who had access to my SSN, address and mailbox (leasing office anyone). This same thing happened to a friend who lived there too and when I told the leasing office about this they were not even surprised so it's proably happening to a lot of people.. STAY AWAY FROM THERE!!!!!

I was a resident at The Avenues for a few years. We stayed because it was close to work and cheap. We were saving for a house. When it was time to leave we did all the right things. We didn't skip out. We were up front with management, paid all of our fees and left the place sparkling clean. We moved out in March and it is now June and we have not received our refund. They won't even return our call. We were excellent tenants and we never even complained about the terrible roach problem and the convicts and this is the thanks we get.
