I used to love this establishment for its southern charm and hospitality. But on a very rare occasion of having a relaxed dinner with my wife, it turned out to be a disaster and a pretty bad one at that. I ordered their special of the night - pork shank with apple sauce and cabbage. The waiter (who was particularly not a service oriented guy who would get the utensils after having asked for) claimed that it was their popular dish. When we received our dinner plates, I found out within a bite or two that I was not served Pork, but Beef. So i asked my waiter if he was sure this was the right dish. Now I do not eat Beef for both religious and personal belief. The waiter(who earlier claimed that it was a popular dish and should have known the difference) took my plate and said he will check with the kitchen. After several minutes, he came back and just casually mentioned that it was the wrong dish and the pork would be ready in a few. To add insult to the damage, he did not utter a word of apology or appreciation for what I was going through. Finally, we got our check and there was not even a mention of the fiasco. I explained my experience to the cashier who had just this thing to say." I will inform my manager of this . Please come back again". I offered to pay for the beef dish as well, because it was served to me. She took the money for our dinner and just said thank you. She did not even care to get my information.

Well, what an unpleasant evening, first you screw up a simple chicken picatta by adding extra ingredients not listed that anyone would ever use, next you bring it back with raw chicken... I hope they all get salmonella poisoning

We just came home from this restaurant. I don't know how the food tastes, because the waiters (who did not really make the impression as if they were happy about their job) completely ignored us. We waited more than 15 minutes, and people who arrived after us already had their food. Our order was not taken, we were not even asked about drinks. Just ignored, completely. We left. It is said that there is only one chance for a first impression, and for us/me, Colonnade has failed really big time. Very sad. Not recommended at all.

This is a great place when you're in the mood for "meat & 2 sides." It's a throwback to the 60s or 70s, but the food is good and the staff is very friendly. They only accept cash, so make sure you go to an ATM before dining here.

We were seated at a table against the wall. After about 2 minutes, we noticed roaches running up and down the wall. Not 1 or 2, but several. We asked to be reseated, and we were moved across the restaurant. After another 2 minutes at this table, my colleague noticed roaches crawling on his leg. We again complained. The management and staff did not see very concerned. They offered to give us a complimentary desert. But knowing what was crawling around the dining room, we didn't want to take a chance on what might be crawling around in the kitchen.

The food was good. I was definitely the youngest person in the crowd (sans gray hair). I thought it was a little pricy for what you received, but it's nice to enjoy a relaxed environment in Atlanta.

I cannot say enough wonderful comments about Colonnade. The food is traditional southern cooking- varied and delicious- the service is exceptional, and the surroundings are comfortable. This restaurant is a favorite of many, so be prepared to wait. An excellent spot to take out-of-town company if you want to impress them with yummy southern comfort food.

This is a great place for good Southern food! Excellent classics, and this is a place where you can take family, friends, kids, the elderly, just about anyone and feel comfortable. The food is fab, which is why there is a wait many nights - but head to their bar and have a drink and the time will pass quickly!

The food is great but the service is horrible. Unless you get a regular server who knows how to please the customer. Nice large portions of comfort food - mac and cheese, liver and onions, fried chicken, collards, turnips, sweet potatoe, corn, mashed potatoes, rice and gravy, steak..everything you had growing up if you're from the south. The food is consistently good but the service is consistently horrible...unless I'm served by anthony!

There's something for everybody here, but the quality and quantity of the food is consistent. Check out the specials for variety. You will not leave hungry, and you will want to return soon.

Love the Colonnade! The food is excellent. Can't go wrong with anything you order there. My two favorites are the fired pork chops and the fried scallops and oysters. They are excellent! The service is wonderful as well! Bring cash or checks!

The traditional southern food is great. The best fried chicken in town. The best wait staff anywhere. The secret is the seafood! The best seafood in Atlanta...always fresh, delicious and perfectly prepared!
