As a local interior decorator, I find The Comfortable Chair Store to be a great place to show clients a variety of upholstered furniture without having to travel to ADAC or the Atlanta Mart downtown. They carry quality lines at reasonable prices and offer knowledgable service, which makes my job easier. My clients have purchased sofas, sectionals, chairs, recliners, ottomans, rugs and lamps and have been very happy with the products and service provided by the store.

I used to buy furniture based on how it looked and the best price I could find. Julia Daniels, the owner of this story guides you to find furniture that fits your lifestyle, living space and body type! I love my furniture and the customer service that I received here. This is my favorite furniture store in Metro Atlanta! Quality, style, comfort, very knowledgeable sales people are what keep me coming back time after time!

I am the type of shopper who needs to feel confident she got style, value and comfort. This store has it all with great customer service too. I purchased two sofas and two chairs. They all coordinate and look inviting when you enter my home. Julia the store owner is very professional and helpful. Now that I am enjoying my furniture, i am even more grateful. Thank you

I rarely write reviews, but this local business is deserving. We've looked for a while to find the perfect chair for our nursery. A friend used this store about 5 years ago and told us about them. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. Unlike all the big box baby stores, they had wonderful service and seem to genuinely care that we got the chair we wanted. The store was very busy, many were repeat customers and this was reassuring to us. Finally, they were very competitive. Highly recommend!

A good friend who is an interior decorator told me about this store where she has purchased furniture for her clients. The people who work there were very knowledgeable in helping me select a nursery glider for my pregnant daughter and also a lift chair, which I needed quickly for my mother in assisted living. Never would I have imagined getting both items in one place, which also has some really nice looking chairs and sofas although I did not see a lot of things like coffee and end tables. I will definitely go back when we redecorate our home since I believe the prices were good for the quality.

I just bought a Dutailier glider at this store, and I am so glad I found them. I spent time shopping at the typical baby stores and did a lot of research online, but still had a lot of questions. The owners of the store are so knowledgeable and really took the time to make sure I was going to be completely satisfied with my purchase. And I was pleasantly surprised that at this level of service their prices were actually better than any of the other stores and even the online retailers. I've never felt so comfortable about a major purchase before. I will definitely return to shop for any other upholstered furniture here.

I recently ordered a rocker/recliner and am very satisfied with my purchase! Both owners are very knowledgeable in their products as is evident in the fact that they specialize and have years of experience. A big plus is that you are not going to get mystery fabrics or mystery fillers from uncontrolled foreign markets. Their fabrics are from America or Canada

Recently bought a Med-lift recliner. We tried it out in the store and ordered in another fabric. It came in and did not sit like nor was as comfortable as the model. The sales receipt warns there are no returns or exchanges for special orders. The store is quite adamant about that policy so be very sure about your decision when you place the order.

Thank you for your feedback. We were disappointed to learn that you are less than completely satisfied with your custom order. Since 1992, we have worked hard to make all of our customers happy by offering reasonable prices, an abundance of personal service, and a convenient showroom so that our customers have the opportunity to try out the many styles of chairs we offer (by different manufacturers) before making a purchase.
Our policy of no returns or exchanges on custom orders (which is common among retailers) is stated in bold typeface on the front of our sales checks. We give each customer in our store a copy to read and fill out prior to their purchase. Since our manufacturers represent to us that our customers' chairs are made to the same specifications as our floor models, it is important that you call us as soon as possible if you believe your chair is an exception.
We can think of two reasons why a custom-ordered chair would not feel like a floor model. First, the choice of fabric can make a difference since some fabrics stretch more than others and, as a result, can make a chair feel softer while other fabrics, such as waterproof vinyl, can sometimes make a chair feel more firm and the seat somewhat slippery. Second, just as a new pair of shoes may not be as comfortable as a pair that is "broken in," sometimes a floor model may feel a little softer than a brand new chair due to its use by other customers. (We make a point of changing our floor models regularly to prevent this from happening.) In any event, we hope your chair will become more comfortable to you over time.
Again, thank you for taking the time to post your feedback as it helps us better understand steps we can take to make our customers happy.
After going to about 10 stores in the N metro area looking for a gliding recliner, we found exactly what we wanted at this mom and pop store in a strip center on Barrett Pky. They've got an impresive selection of chairs and fabrics and leathers and were really helpful. They spent alot of time explaining to us the differences in brands and all the options that were available. (My wife and I didn't even know we had options.) I don't usually post reviews but was so glad to have discovered this place I wanted to pass it on, especially the fact that their price was $130 less on the chair we bought than the lowest price at two other places we had seen it.

These people know their business. They've done this for 16 years and can tell you anything about rockers and gliders. They have a large selection and can match chair color and fabric on site. A little pricey but worth it in quality and customer service.
