Carol is the best. My husband and I sought out her services in 2006 when we rescued a dog that started displaying behavioral problems. We opted for a private consult. Carol determined that the dog we adopted was not a good fit for us as first time pet owners. Later that same year we purchased a puppy that has since been through all of her classes, and regularly attends her Supplemental Obedience & Socialization (SOS) classes. We don't live nearby, but Carol and her staff are worth every dollar spent. Max passed his Canine Good Citizen test with the help of Carol's CGC preperation class. We wouldn't take Max anywhere else. Max loves Aunty Carol!

My dog graduated from the Shy & Fearful class, and the imporvement in her was amazing! We couldn't trust her around people before the class, and last week she attended a very crowded Doggie Fashion show with many people and animals around her. She behaved perfectly with the tips and lessons we learned in Carols class. Her support staff is wonderful as well. After completing Shy & Fearful, we took both of our dogs through Basic Obedience. The class was wonderul and the dogs learned a lot!

The Educated Pet has been a great thing for our family. I have been through all the courses with my first dog, and am making my way through them all again with my second dog now. The ratios are wonderful (in most classes I have been in there have been 3 teachers to 5 or 6 handler/dog teams) so you get a lot of personal attention. I have also found classes to be tailored to the level of the dogs in the course and that each team is able to work at their own speed/level within the structure of the course. Finally, I really appreciate the emphasis on respect and positive reinforcement techniques. My dogs LOVE going to class and I love what the training is doing for our relationship.

My dog and I took the Basic Obedience Course at the Educated Pet. The instructor, Carol, was extrememly self-centered. She talked about herself, her dog, her kids, or anything else pertaining to her life for at least 20 minutes per class. At $120/class (which are 1hr long/once a week for 6 weeks), that's a huge amount of time and money wasted. She had some good tips, but mostly just wasted my time.
