More than just daycare, The Goddard School located in Marietta offers a child care program that nurtures a lifelong love of learning by providing dedicated teachers in a private preschool setting.
Back in Feb of 2014. We had our child there starting at 12 weeks for a total of 5 weeks. We were unfortunately not happy with the service in the infant room. While they tended to the basic needs, the teachers always seemed to be sitting around, they were not super friendly (two in particular, not all) the kids were just laying around, playing on their own. Every time i dropped off or picked up, my child was in a swing or under a play mat. I know they are young at this age, but at our current center and others i've seen, there was WAY more interaction with the kids. Teachers were on the floor playing when applicable, they gave us information on what they did with the kids and they did many activities with them even at a young age, provided pictures etc. I was very disappointed in the level care we got. I expected much more. My feelings were solidified when a fellow parent expressed her same concerns. Vic was open to feedback and said they were looking at building in more of a curriculum (why wasn't this already implemented?) in that class and I got an email a couple months later saying they had made some changes on the staff so things may be better. I'm sad it didn't work out, the facility was nice and the staff was nice but the infant class had some work to do.

We recently moved to East Cobb from Woodstock and originally had our daughter enrolled in another montessori school nearby. We were unhappy with the level of care she was receiving there, and we were able to switch to this school. It was a world of difference! Our daughter is thriving in Ms. Korie and Ms. J's class and is excited to go to school each day. The daily reports you get are wonderful to let you know what your child is doing, and everyone at the school genuinely loves the children. Mr. Vic, Ms. Aziza, and Ms. Naomi are phenomenal at running the school and making it a confortable place for the kids. I would absolutely recommend this school for anyone looking for a loving, caring environment that will help your child build their learning skills. Best decision we have ever made!!!

I am the mother of two active, wonderful girls. One has graduated and the second one is at this school. Lisa, my first daughter, went through Miss Korie's class and Miss Samantha's class and my youngest, Giselle, is currently in Miss Korie's class. We all have had wonderful experiences in both classes. Miss Korie gives great feedback on my daughters day at the school. I have personally seen both teachers stay over to speak with parents instead of just rushing out the door at the end of their shift. There is discipline in both classes, but nothing even close to excessive. Both teachers are not only liked by the parents, but by the children as well. I am only writing this review because of a previous review stating that these teachers are not warm and are overly rigid. I can attest to the fact that both are great with the children and we really enjoy being here at this school.

My son was very happy when he was in rising rockets under Ms Rapana. But after the summers when he went to Ms Cory's class which was 3 yrs and up..he no more wanted to go...because its like for an age where kids learn through having fun,it was just the opposite. The warmth which kids need initially to break the ice was just wasn't there.. Mind you, kids are very smart to assess if the environment is not a flourishing one for them! After all its just a daycare as after the nap time the kids just pass time without any academics till the pick up time.. So what are the teachers trying to show by unnecessary strictness when this is the age before school where a child has to be free from any pressure. These ladies are just creating a pseudo environment which is not treating the 3-4 year old kids with the warmth they should be treated with.At least it did not work for me as my kid has been happy at all the schools before this, even in 2 year olds class in same goddard but in these classes here,my gut feeling was that the kid at this point of time needs fun in learning and not orders to be followed, and that's what these women believe in. This review is honest and exact feedback.

I recently had surgery and had to go from part-time to full-time basis for my child within a couple of days. The owner made room for my child quickly and was very helpful in every way. The school has a very warm and loving atmosphere...it almost feels like family! I am very fortunate that I am able to send my child to a school where I know he is safe and in a loving environment. It is definitely a keeper in my family.

As a first time mom, I was very anxious about having my daughter start daycare at 8 weeks. I quickly learned that there was nothing to worry about as the teachers at this daycare are great, especially the ones in the infant room. They put this first time mom's mind at ease. I know my daughter was well cared for and loved. The teachers are so caring and really form a bond with their students. Not only do they care about their students, there is a genuine interest in getting to know the whole family. My daughter is now 1 and is moving up to the next class and I am so excited for this next phase in her development.

My little girl loves her school, teachers & administrators! The owner Vic is a rock star to the kids...they run to him & hug his neck which is very re-assuring as a parent! They offer extracurricular programs inside the school day that my daughter loves (Gymbus & soccer)...she can count, say spanish, say her ABC's, sing songs & knows sign language...did I mention she is 2?? I drive from Atlanta to Marietta (which is inconvenient) each way to take her there because this school is EXCELLENT!

My daughter loves it! From the moment we toured, my daughter did not want to go home. We enrolled on the spot and have been happy ever since. You do have to pay extra for lunches, kinda strange, but no big deal. The staff are caring and the school is very clean. The owner is on-site and the school has cameras, both big deals for me.

Two of my children have been attending this school for the past 6 mos and I am absolutely amazed by the staff's caring and loving attitude! Best of all, is the owner/director team. They are hard-working, funny, and always available if I have any concerns. I highly recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a wonderful and safe place for the little ones!

Still in the process of shopping for the day care center for my daughter. The facility is very clean, however, the most teachers I met are Hispanic. A little worried about the quality of the teachers. Please share with me your opinion

I recently moved to Atlanta area and was looking for an established day care center for my 5 year old and we have fell in love with this day car center. The owners and staff are the consumate professionals. Very well organized, well trained, clean facility, and provided the level of service that we expected from a day care center. I have used many day care centers and by far, this is the best we ever used. I highly recommend this facility for those who are looking for a day care center.

Ever since the new owner from another Marietta location took over this school about a year ago, the management went downhill. He has tried very hard to cover the negative opinions and facts about the school, esp. the substantiated complaint about the serious injury of a child happened one & a half years ago, but NOT really ever thought how to improve all kinds of problems the school existed. It has violated the license capacity in the most recent report by Bright From the Start. Rather than paying a thousand dollars each month at such poor quality of school, you sure could find a much better one than this! In addition, you had to pay extra for lunch! What's that for?

We have had our 3 year old at this Goddard School for the past year after moving down from the NY/NJ area. Our daughter went to a Goddard School franchise up north and we were impressed enough that we wanted to give this one a try. On the plus side (and there are many) the Goddard School has a lot of caring teachers and daycare providers. You can sense that the children really enjoy being there and that the teachers put an effort into their well-being. The price is also a good bang-for-the-$. On the downside, this particular Goddard School is not as structured as our daughter's previous daycare. Ballet and the weekly Tumble Bus are good, but we really want her to be immersed in a second language and to be taught more concrete skills at this age. Part of the problem is that our previous Goddard School provided very brief daily reports on how our daughter progressed, what she liked / did not like, etc. This school does not take that extra step and, therefore, we do not know as much about how her day went. All in all, it is a pretty good place and well worth the $.
