I bought a new refrigerator for my rental and got it scheduled for a Saturday (morning preferred) 15 days hence. Received a broken unit on Saturday night (door handle) with no icemaker, no change of doorswing, no delivery paperwork, no carting off the old (it was left on the back porch). Got nowhere complaining to store personnel that night. Called the manager on Monday morning -- manager on vacation, so I got an assistant. The "best" they could do was cart the old fridge off Friday (Really? What about that day?), and order the broken & missing parts. When they finally do arrive, my tenant is supposed to call the store and schedule somebody to toodle down to change the doorswing, replace the handle, & install the icemaker. In the meantime, my tenant gets to gaze out at the old unit on his porch while he sips drinks with no icecubes and curses the landlord each time he's got to open the fridge the wrong way with a broken door handle. Stay far away from this and any other Home Depot!

I dread going into this store. I only go there because it is a mile from home. The workers are not willing to help, yet talk and hang out with each other. Needed a board cut so had to go to checkout to get someone paged. Still no help. One guy came buy so I asked him if he would cut it. Needed plumbing help and the man said, it's over there, instead of helping, going back to his co-workers conversation. Lowes is much better and more helpful. This used to be a good Home Depot. sad. It is obvious the employees don't care.

Over the past 20 years we've been faithful customers of Home Depot. I can only rate the MT. Zion store, since that is the only store I have been a customer. My 5 year old hot water heater died yesterday. It had a 12 year warrantee, so I had to return it to the Mt. Zion Store per G.E.'s instructions. At Home Depot, I was informed that I could not receive a authorization for a return untill the people at G.E. (Located in Alabama) returned from their lunch, Which meant that I would have to wait an hour! I had two plumbers with me who were on the clock, so I asked if I could just purchase another hot water heater and come back later for the amount that was owed me on the pro-rating. A department manager was called to help me and he was very rude and informed me I could only receive a store credit! I have to say this "gentleman" was not helpful at all and even had an attitude with my plumber who was extremely nice to him! The department manager had an attitude like...Too bad lady....go f youself! It finally took 1.5 hours to get my new hot water heater and leave the store! I will never enter a Home Depot again. There is a Lowe's about a mile from me and they will have my business for now on! The only nice thing I can say about my experience at the crappy Mt. Zion Home Depot is that the woman in Returns was extremely nice and apologetic! They should make her a department manager and give the rude guy his walking papers!

No matter how many times I come in this store and can't make up my mind or need instructions, these highly knowledgeable representatives can help you achieve anything. Don't be afraid to ask, this is what they are there for.
