Melts in your Wallet, Not your Mouth
Now we both know: if we want to pay good money for great fondue, we will go to Dante's Down the Hatch. Melting Pot's menu is confusing & overwhelming. We decided to order the Big Night Out, which had a flavors of Latin America theme and included 4 courses. We began with cheese fondue, which was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. I asked what sort of beer they put into it and sadly, the waitress told me it was Keystone. I wish I hadn't asked. If I were her, I would have lied. Next we had our salads. They were so totally drenched in the most overpoweringly pungent dressing that we couldn't finish them. Very strange. Our main fondue course featured shrimp, filet mignon, sirloin, pork, chicken, and corn raviolis served with a ridiculous assortment of dipping sauces and a bowl of potatoes, broccoli and mushrooms. The sauces were awful & unnecessary. The "Mojo" cooking oil, recommended by our waitress to fit the Latin American theme, was so overly seasoned it was practically all you could taste. At least the meats were good quality, but even they were absolutely slathered in seasoning. The dessert fondue was the best part, but it's pretty difficult to mess up melted chocolate and fresh fruit. The service was ok, except for the trainee waitor who made some very awkward conversation with us & seemed to just be generally uncomfortable. And of course, you end up massively overpaying for sub-par eats. We learned our lesson & from here on out pledge our allegiance to Dante!

Best Fondue Ever!
We went to the melting pot for our anniversary before going to the fox and decided to do the big night out deal where you get cheese, dinner, and dessert. It was amazing! The waitress knew everything, really helped us know what sauces to eat with everything and was really informative. Absolutley loved it, plus the food was to die for. We were so full, but in a good way. I will definitely be going back!

This place was awful....
My friend took me to this place. Very slow service. We would finish a course and then it would take another 30 minutes to get them to bring the next course out. What normally takes 2 hours to eat ended up taking close to 4 hours! When I spoke to the manager he was nasty. I guess they missed the whol customer service meeting.

Poor service
Arrived 6:50 for a 7pm reservation for 6 people. We were celebrating my daughters 14th birthday and this was the first time her friends were going to this restaurant. Front desk told us it would be closer to 7pm till we were seated. At about 7:15 we saw another party of 6 enter the restaurant at this time we had been waiting for 25min. At 7:25 the other party was seated and we were still waiting for our 7pm reservation. By now the girls are starving. We went to the desk to ask how much longer and they said they were cleaning our table. Another 10 min passed before we were seated. (10 min to clean a table?). From there it didn't get much better. Although the food was good service was very slow. Our dinner wasn't finished till 10:30pm. While I don't like to be rushed 3 hrs was alittle long for a bunch of teenage girls. We have eaten here before in Atlanta, Tampa and Orlando and never had such bad service.

What a Wonderful Evening
Alex (female) was a wonderful server - professional, capable and fun (bonus!). We had a Fondue Fusion meal for two for $94, which included cheese fondue appetizer; huge salads; bouillion-boiled entree of lobster, shrimp, salmon, filet, pork, chicken and ravioli; and chocolate fondue dessert. We also had a $20 shared martini in a glass big enough for a goldfish. Alex was very busy, so there were a few times when our water glassed needed refills, but the manager on duty was on hand for such things. The space has a very urban, contemporary feel and can be very noisy with the large parties. The bathroom lines were long (only 2 ladies' stalls for a huge restaurant). Wait times were long, so make reservations.
