An Austin institution
A wonderful, sprawling gardening center with emphasis on native plants and teaching. Herbs, veggies, fruit trees, roses, other flowers and much more. Offers classes. An absolutely wonderful place to take kids, with colorful chickens strutting, miniature donkeys, a butterfly garden in fact several show gardens. Spend a day or just pick up the few healthy, vigorous plants you need. They explain everything and offer supplies, fertilizers, sprays, and also sell dirt mixes. Can be a bit hard to find; directions are on their web site....
