I have 2 small special needs dogs, as well as a previous (passed away) special needs lab. I've always had great grooming here and the dogs are happy to come and are happy when I pick them up. I trust Sam at the Pet Set very much and appreciate his gentle approach and great work. Dogs look great too!
I had my cat groomed for the spring / summer weather this year. Having the mobile grooming service at our doorstep made it stress free for me and my cat. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
Oh no these should not of been on the shelf! Something must not of gotten rotated correctly or we missed the exp. date. Our thanks for bring it to our attention. I always suggest to double check your food purchases for yourself or your pets when purchasing products that can expire as mistakes like this can happen. The food is at the end of its nutritional value and please bring it back for a fresh bag. The treats have expired, but the others on the shelf are good until June of 2013. Bring them back and get a fresh one.
I have two Yorkies Caesar and Mia. Caesar had a bad experience at the last groomers were went too and since they have extreme anxiety any place that smells or looks like a grooming salon. Mia gets immediately car sick when we put her in the car. The Pet Set mobile grooming solved all those issues. Kelly could not be any nicer. She gets both of them done in two hours. They look great they are happy they aren't in cages half of the day. The price is great. We are so happy to find a solution to grooming.

If you care about your animal DO NOT take them to Pet Set. My typically laid-back dog came out from the grooming area very tense. The guy who brought him out said, "He was getting too nervous." This has NEVER happened before, but I understand that some dogs and humans just don't mesh and so I took the leash to leave for another groomer to cut his nails. Instead of letting me leave, the front desk guy very gruffly told me that he would cut the nails. I should have said "NO." I think he just didn't like the idea of my $12 walking out the door. He grabbed the clippers and tried cutting the nails right there in the front of the store. He grabbed the first paw, while I tried to calm my dog, but the aggression the front desk guy used was not going over well. He tried a nail in this manner and I had to call a stop to this. I paid my $12 and left. Even though it will be a longer drive since I have moved, I am going to take Cooper back to Ormewood Animal Hospital for his nail trimmings from now on!

I am sorry you felt you had a bad experience. I was in the store at the time of your visit and did see your pet being serviced and how your pet acted. I did want to defend my staff and store with the misinformation you are stating.
To review I see one of our experienced bathers attempted to trim your pets nails but was unable to do so. The bather explained that he was unable to do your pet because the animal was too nervous or aggressive on the table. This logically translates he didnít want to attempt it with possible chance of injury to the pet or himself, which is totally understandable. Its not uncommon for first time pets in a new situation with new people to act differently?
The Senior Manager attempted to finish the nail trimming away from other pets, and was not able to do so as you and I both saw the pet was aggressive with him also, and actually did bite him in front of you. Because they did complete the majority of the service and both the bather and Manager were bitten by your pet I donít think a $12 payment was unexpected.
In defense of my staff and business I do feel my staff acted in a most professional manner and that your posting is accurate, misleading, and boarders on slander. We attempted to do our best in a difficult situation. The misinformation posted needed to be addressed and corrected. Please feel free to give me a call at the store and I will be happy to speak to you about your visit or recommend other places near you that might be a better fit for future nail trimming so you donít have to drive across town.
As always we use all reviews and feedback in our staff meetings to better ourselves, even the ones that are incorrect. I wish you all the best in your future pet care needs. Bob Fawcett-Owner
Wow wow wow! If you have ever thought about having a mobile service for your pet it is well worth doing so. My pet enjoyed the relaxing stress free service, and I enjoyed not having to drive back and forth across town to take and pick up my pet. I made the appointment on line and they were able to fit me in two days later! Love the new mobile spa and will use them again! You should to!!!

I have been taking my dog to be groomed by Darryl for several months now. Can't say enough about what a great groomer he is. But I have to agree with some of the other reviews. Really the only reason I go here is because of Darryl. It is a great facility with a really nice (but pricey) retail store, but the front desk service can be spotty. I know some of this is due to having lots of dogs dropped off at once, but it doesn't always seem the most organized, efficient or friendly. Also, I'm unsure about the doggie day care. I've heard mixed reviews, and every time I am there for grooming and look in the daycare area, most of the dogs are in kennels, very few out running around. Not sure if that's because people haven't paid for their dog to have free play or what, but either way, the daycare area never seems that active. As for grooming though, Darryl is the best!

Thank you for your review. I will pass it along to Darryl. Your preception of the day care is part correct. It is limited to small groups of players each day, around 25 max, think private school with one on one attention. No mass day care here! We also sometimes have our standard boarders who are not playing in the daycare area. This provides interest for them, rather than in a kennel sleeping all day. We also may kennel a pet from day care for other reasons like, lunch time from 12-2 for staff, a rest time or time out for a pet who has been playing to hard. We offer the longest play time in atlanta inside and out.
The wife and I recently took our eight year old pride and joy, Mashi, to the Pet Set for a shave. We have had a hard time finding a decent cat groomer in the Atlanta area and was referred to the Pet Set by a friend. Darryl came out to meet Mashi and to get an idea of how we wanted his fur to look. He was absolutely wonderful with Mashi and made me feel very comfortable with leaving him there. When we went to pick Mashi up at the scheduled time, we had to wait almost thirty minutes over the time they gave us. The customer service from the clerks in the shop was very lacking. Mashi was brought to us in his carrier. He was set on the ground very abruptly and his carrier tipped over. The clerks did not seem to care that the cat was flipped over in his carrier. The clerk walked away without a "thank you" or "good bye". This left me with a sour taste in my mouth, but Mashi seemed very relaxed and happy with the overall experience at the groomer, so I let it go.

Thank you for your review. I will pass it along to Darryl, and I will post your review in our next staff meeting. Customer service is very important to me and we are always trying to improve our skills.
Daryl is a wonderful groomer who listens to your needs and is very caring toward your pet. He is outstanding. The Pet Set retail staff manning the desk are average - at times you feel like they are doing you a favor by acknowledging you. The only reason I take my dog to the Pet Set is because of Daryl. I also like their selection of dog toys, biscuits, and collars. But again, the service out front leaves a lot to be desired.
