have lived here since 1/07. love it more than i hate it. manangement does change too often but they are responsive for the most part. I would like to see more community events as well as keeping up of their website and getting the residents more involved. Love the location for schools (best in the area) and walking trails. Greenway is right behind us. We never had any issues with hearing our neighnors and i have them on all sides of me. there are kids upstairs so we hear a plop every now and then but that is it!! Very happy here.

I have been living in these apartments for a long time now and I have a long list of complaints. First, the walls are so thin that besides hearing your neighbors talk, you can see huge ugly patches of dampness on the walls. I have complained about it a number of times to the management but it always fell on deaf ears. As a result, there's mold and mildew and I start sneezing as soon as I enter my apartment. I never had nasal allergies before but now I don't stop sneezing whenever I am inside my apartment. Second, the management keeps on changing almost every month and they can't relate to you as a respected resident. The management under Le Craw group was still better but the recent management under Tribridge Residential is terrible. Third, I sometimes liked to workout in the apartment fitness center but it is sad to say that they don't maintain it at all. There is sweat all over on the equipment and in the evening, you can see teenagers hanging out and smoking there. Smoking in the fitness center!! And even a layman can find out that it is not usual cigarette smoke. Fourth, the new management suddenly increased the rent by $300 and just gave us 3 days notice saying that management changed their rules. Overall, not very happy. Can't wait to find some other place.

We moved here last summer and chose Sterling Woods for a month-to-month rental while we looked for a house. It's not the newest/shiniest apartment complex, but the location is very convenient to 400 and shopping and a lot of corporate offices. We can walk to the Alpharetta hike/bike trail and the YMCA in about 2 minutes. The apartment itself is pretty average, but everything works fine. The nice thing about older complexes is that they usually have better construction and soundproofing. I can hardly hear my neighbors at all (we are on bottom floor and only share a ceiling with another apartment's floor). We're paying $990/month for a 3-bed 2-bath, about 1300 square feet. It would be $100 less per month if we had signed a longer-term lease. I've always found the rental agents to be nice and competent, no hassles. The maintenance guys (generally) know what they're doing and are quick to respond to problems. The neighbors - can't say I know any of them well, but they all seem like nice folks. The complex has its fair share of rowdy kids, but seriously, any complex that allows children has the same problem. Seems to be a good mix of age groups here, singles and families. The complex was recently sold and is now The Pointe at Preston Ridge; new owners are doing a lot of renovating and upgrades. Overall, I would recommend this place for value and location.

Renter beware!! Sterling Woods Apartments is now The Pointe at Preston Ridge. Renter Beware, the lease agreement is very shady. You should know your tenant rights before signing such an agreement. What is not in the lease agreement is also important. There is nothing in there about military have to terminate a lease, which we all now it should by law. This is complex has very little business ethics. You are likely to fight to get your security deposit or your last month's rent you paid up front when you signed your lease.
