The Pride Services Group caused our HOA more work than anyone should have to do. We had to manage them and ourselves and still struggling to get answers and the information we need. Choosing The Pride Services Group was the WORSE DECISION WE EVER MADE - DO NOT DO IT!
Took forever to schedule an appointment and then he showed up while I was not there and did what he wanted to do and not what was on kudzu deal. Single-handedly, caused me to doubt the Kudzu model. I still use Kudzu but oftentimes I call the vendor directly instead of buying the deal because of this guy.
We asked for an insurance certificate from the owner, Sisson, and received a copy, but information was altered. We received an ‘estimate’ and agreed to payment terms. In the middle of the project they (Sisson and Peters) changed the payment terms and wanted the money immediately and before the work was completed as stated in the agreement. They had already received 50% down + 25% to cover expenses. The project was supposed to take 4 to 6 weeks and ended up taking 5+ months. The parts were not ordered correctly, lead times were not taken in to consideration and work had to be redone repeatedly because of mistakes and sloppiness. We asked for a project plan and received an email outlining a week of work. According to Pride, they offer a warranty for the work they do, we have never received. We also asked for receipts and manufactures’ warranty information, which was promised at that start of the project. We never saw any of the paper work. We asked for Lien Waivers, we have not recievd those either. The project was a $55,000 private residential remodel consisting of flooring, painting, some electrical and light construction. We still had to do our own product research and take days off from our jobs to supervise the work. Pride Residential would be doing the community a service to go out of business.
Over an 8 week period: 3 no shows, 4 unreturned phone calls, 3 mailbox full messages & 2 promises to email back with a date for service. No Pride, No service.
I bought a coupon and called multiple times to redeem. I've heard nothing back and now its expiring.
I have been very satisfied with the work that Jimmy and his crew have done for me. The yard looks great every time they leave, nicely edged and bushes trimmed. I too came on board with the Groupon but decided to continue on a bi-monthly basis because of the service and value. I cant recommend them enough. 10 out of 10 in my book! Lori
they are the best! and also very affordable- my lawn never looked so good- i would totally reccommend them and i'm all about saving a buck- use them and you won't be sorry naomi cohen atlanta
Took over a month and three phone calls to finally get a response. Then they stood me up three times with no communication. This is over a three month period. There is NO EXCUSE for this shoddy behavior. Asking for a refund of the $89 I paid Kudzu for this "Great Deal"! Been very satisfied with all the other Kudzu deals.
We're converts to the Pride Lawn Care folks. We met them through a Groupon offer and were very, very pleased with our results. We sold our home a few weeks after the Pride guys came out and worked their magic; and I truly believe that their good work played a big part in the positive first impression our buyers received. We highly recommend them!
We bought the coupon for the summer yard clean up, which we desperately needed! We have one of those huge yards that has gotten overwhelmingly out of control. Like many others, we had to reschedule several times, but what mattered was that they got out here and honored the coupon. Jimmy's crew was worth waiting for! The yards looks so much better with the overgrown trees and bushes trimmed. The pinestraw made such a difference. It was definitely worth the value. As for the wait, I think people need to realize two things: 1). scheduling is a management issue, not the crew's issue, and 2). companies may not be prepared for the great response they get from the coupons, so be patient. Jimmy and his guys made the whole rescheduling worthwhile! I cannot recommend him enough!
Pride Residential just completed the wall paper removal in 2 rooms this week. I am appreciative of what they've accomplished in a 3 hour time limit. Their employees did a great job and were respectful. I wish them the best with any future endeavours they have.
***I initially posted the review below. My service was scheduled this past week for today. When Jimmy arrived, the quality of work was very good. The yard looks great and I will most likely use them for future projects. Previous review: I am disappointed to read the number of reviews regarding the Kudzu coupon. I too, purchased the deal and have not been able to get the work scheduled. I keep getting calls that I was on the schedule, but they could not get to me, however I have requested that I be home, due to having three dogs. Seems that communication and management are poor. I truly hope they call me back and get the work completed in a good manner. I am so disappointed that my "spring cleanup" did not get done.
Contacted Michael and transferred to Mike three times, with the promise of being put on a schedule for "next week"...never heard from them again.
$89 was half price - that was about 3 times what the job was worth - didn't trim any hedges - didn't rake before putting pine straw down - hire a high school student
