THEY RIP YOU OFF TO GET MORE MONEY WHEN YOU MOVE OUT - RUDE STAFF - I moved into the Remington at Memorial in June of 2009. I moved out in April of 2010 but paid my lease until my contract ended in June 2010. I turned in my key via the after hours mail box as the leasing attendant instructed me to do so. I called a twice to see about getting my deposit back and never received a call back. Two months go by and I get a letter in the mail from a debt collector stating that I owe $436.58. I was not once contacted by them and I know they had my correct forwarding address because they debt collection agency got it right. I tried calling after I got the letter and the office manager never called me back. The debt collection agency called and asked me to pay and I told them I was trying to work it out with the apartment and that I was not going to pay and the collection agent said well good luck with your bad credit and hung up on me. I am frustrated because my apartment complex never attemped to contact me about owing them money nor do I believe I owe them for damages. I scrubbed the entire apartment when moving out and took pictures for reference. Normal wear and tear of the apartment was clear but nothing more.
