We recently bought an older home that has it's charm but we wanted to bring it up to date. A Google search on the best ASID professionals in Atlanta brought me to a website listing the top 10. I... chose to meet with Bette Raburn because kitchen and bath renovations were listed first on her list of credentials along with renovations and design help at large. Bette came to our home and quickly understood what we wanted but improved upon our minds eye with her great taste and experience. She had us sold. Bette assigned her most talented LeeAnn Pittman to our job where we relocated our kitchen, brought down a wall to the family room, and renovated the powder room. Someone pinch me, is this really my house! The kitchen is stunning, with washed light gray cabinets, beautiful, reasonably priced appliances, topped off with gorgeous granite. LeeAnn's design is beyond gorgeous and very functional. Our powder room is fun with glass back splash covering an entire wall. LeeAnn always gave us choices from the design, to the cabinets, appliances, counter, backsplash and always within budget. She was also very patient with us as we hemmed and hawed over finishes. LeeAnn will not let you do the wrong thing :) This is an amazing, talented, enjoyable group of people to work with, it's one stop shopping and they don't nickel and dime you for every question or hour you feel you need to spend with them. We can't wait to start project 2 with The Works.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Needed to update our dark brown wood, depressing-looking kitchen! Met with LeeAnn and came back with several design options for our relatively big kitchen. Her designs are very creative and... professional. Her final result gave us a very cheerful and inviting kitchen! The light colored cabinets we picked are of very good quality and very functional . Our kitchen can now be used for entertaining as well!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

I am incredible grateful to have stumbled on The Works!! To start, the show room is immaculate and as a very visual person I was able to see options rather than try to imagine them based on a rendering. The customer service has been top notch and exactly what one would expect from a vendor with such high quality product. They went out of their way to explain my options to me. I can hardly wait to see the finished product! In the mean time I will refer all my friends and family who want to redo, update or refresh the heart of their home, the kitchen.

We came to The Works with a $30K budget, and were very disappointed after initially being impressed with their proposal. They disregarded our budget as material selections were made (especially cabinetry). The final selections quote was incomplete, leaving out important items. Once everything was included, we wound up significantly over budget - even though there was no increase in the project's scope on our part. We decided to try to stay the course and continue to work with them. But the real clincher for us was their lack of responsiveness and attention to detail once we began soliciting quotes from their labor contractors. Numerous emails to The Works weren't answered for many days, answers to our questions were incomplete, and they missed one appointment with a labor contractor at our home, without prior warning. All the labor quotes came in $5,000 over the top of the range The Works originally estimated they would come in at. The last labor quote was promised for 10 days after the contractor visited our home; we waited but it never came in. He said he was "too busy" to do it...... We decided to cut our losses (half of the $1,500 Design Fee deposit) and part ways. When we sent a polite email - even saying that we did not expect to recoup our original $750 fee - we didn't even receive a response! No apology - nothing at all! That, in a nutshell, is the finest example of the level of professionalism at The Works ....... My advice - stay away .........

My experience with Bette and Blake at The Works was excellent! When we moved to Georgia from Chicago in 2011, we purchased a home in Roswell and decided to renovate 2 bathrooms and the kitchen. Bette and Blake were great to work with-very professional and extremely hands-on. My husband and I were both very pleased with the bathroom renovations and especially happy with how beautiful and functional the kitchen turned out!

I went into The Works because I knew the carried the counter tops I was looking for. I met Blake and instantly liked him. I had only gone in for counter tops, but a few weeks later Blake was out at my house taking measurements for my new kitchen. He walked us through the whole process, came up with a beautiful design, awesome products, and somehow managed to keep it affordable for us. Should I ever do a major renovation again, I would, without a doubt, use Blake again. He was easy to work with and always quick to respond if I needed him. The final results were more beautiful than I could have imagined. There is nothing plain about my kitchen anymore, thanks to Blake.

Having never done a renovation before, I was most fortunate to work with Blake in redesigning my kitchen and master bath. He listened to me trying to explain my thoughts and then gave me a design for both that worked better than I could have imagined. Plus, he made the journey fun! It was so easy to choose all that I wanted in his wide selection of product, soup to nuts. All was delivered and installed in a timely manner with Blake overseeing and working with my contractor until the install was finished. Not that I want to renovate again but if I did, Blake and The Works would be first on my list of one. They have a beautiful new showroom that would be worth a visit for anyone thinking about a renovation. I highly recommend.

Professional. Creative. Fun. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Bette, Blake and LeeAnn at The Works on numerous professional and personal projects! We have tackled projects from new construction - whole home cabinetry, flooring, tile and fixtures - to complete home decorating - furniture, fabric, rugs and window treatments. I have been particularly impressed with the staff's ability to adapt to the many different design styles of our clients. Thanks Blake for making our client projects and my own personal home styling so much fun!

We have a 25 year old home that we love, but we wanted the kitchen totally redesigned. The Works did more than we could have imagined. We worked with Bette, Blake and LeAnn. LeeAnn was our main designer who designed the most gorgeous kitchen that looks like it came straight from a magazine! Our contractor we chose was wonderful, timely, thorough, dependable, and quality could not be improved on. We took out a wall between our old kitchen and the family room, moved a door from the garage to another location, and ...the best part....opened up the wall of a garage storage room next to the kitchen, making it part of our new kitchen! It added so much more storage space....now , for the first time ever, I have some empty cabinets. LeAnn is a master of details. We have her to thank for deep storage drawers, self close drawers and cabinets, lazy Susan corner cabinets, a small but incredibly efficient laundry room (with more wall cabinets, a folding counter and a hanging clothes rod) an in cabinet wine rack, a retractable shelf for heavy items, beautiful glass lighted shelves, to mention a few things. The molding details are incredible and beautifully done by their superior cabinet installers. LeeAnn was hands on the entire time and came by every week. Work was completed in the time estimated, and there was not one surprise or disappointment. The agreed upon cost was exact to the end. We could not be happier. We absolutely recommend The Works for any design project you have.

I have had both my Kitchen and Master Bathroom remodeled by The Works and they have done an amazing job! I have personally worked with Betty the owner and others in her office (Blake and Lee Ann) and have had all my questions answered in a timely manner. They all work very well together and we have a truly beautiful kitchen and master bath to show for it! They are your one stop shop for everything you need from design to product to finish! I highly recommend The Works!

They gave me a price for a very small project which was doubled once they visited my property with not much change at all. They talk a good game and have a very difficult time to put their vision and design on paper. After two weeks of waiting for a design on 15 lineal foot of cabinets they came up with some hand sketched not to scale drawings without explaining why they jacked up the price to an unreasonable amount of almost $800 per foot and that did not even include installation and they had the audacityto tell me all their clients are all rich and this is after they had charged me $500.00. Be advised.

I really can't give enough praise to the entire team at The Works for the phenomenal results of our kitchen, bathroom, and large laundry room re-model and design. They have a great ability to listen to your needs and ideas and incorporate them all (and then some) down to the most minute detail. Blake is an amazing designer. He re-thought the spaces in ways we could not and provided functionality that we desperately needed. He came up with a choice of ideas/plans, and together we tweaked them to achieve a perfect design. As a result, I now have my dream kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room! I pinch myself every day. From consultation, fun brainstorming sessions to the final walk through every detail was considered. Bette, Blake, Melinda and the rest of the team were always available immediately to answer any questions. We also loved the fact that The Works's price is set. There are no unexpected fees or charges after the contract is signed unless you change your mind on a selection. The Works is like a well-oiled machine. They have been around for many years and they know what they are doing. Customer satisfaction is a top priority. We are MORE than satisfied with our entire experience with The Works and we HIGHLY recommend them for your design needs.

From the beginning Bette did a thorough questionnaire to find out what we wanted in our new kitchen. Other companies we spoke with did a very basic assessment but wanted a fee to do anything close to what The Works did. Bette, Melinda and Blake spent many hours picking out every little thing right down to cabinet hardware. Bette went with me to carpet stores, lighting stores and even to look for barstools! We loved the business model in which we interviewed 3 contractors that Bette recommended and chose the one that we felt best fit our job. We would happily use them again!
