We have a home in Mount Dora and found a wonderful variety of plants, trees, flowers, etc. at the Yardstop in Mount Dora.. Two years ago we purchased 2 trees, several bushes and some landscape materials for $2000+ and had them planted at our Mount Dora home. The trees died sometime before we got there the next winter. When the salesperson from Yardstop came to the house, he told us the trees didn't get enough water, even though we followed the directions we were given (trickler for 3 months, weekly irrigation, etc.). We had the trees replaced and our own expense--again at Yardstop. (I know---not our smartest move.) Now we are having issues again with one tree looking like it is half dead. We contacted Yardstop by phone, email and mail and they are not returning our call or mailings. We always try to shop locally and support the smaller owner-run businesses in our hometown in NY and our winter home in Mount Dora. It makes you think that the smarter move is to shop at Lowes, doesn't it?.
