A quiet meal enjoyed by my wife and me showed that every item we ordered, salad, lobster, bouillabaise (sp?)etc was A+ and the attention to detail was evident in the presentation as well as the prep. The wine list and the Manhattan were perfect. Our favorite. We'll be back, believing what we saw speaking of top quality in every way. Way to go Chef Paul.

Hurry in, they are running a special where you can get several of the entrees for half price. I had the Bouillabaisse. It was served with a nicely toasted baguette and had plenty of fresh seafood. Try the Creme Brule for dessert, heavenly. Our waiter, Ben was prompt, polite and professional.

Thee Bungalow has been a San Diego favorite for at least 20 years. Classy dining at it's best. Great ambinace, great menu, great seafood, and impeccable service. The chef will come out and great you. I highky rate this as an experience for anniversary, proposal dinner, high end dates.

I took my husband there for our 18th anniversary. It was our first visit, but definitely not our last. We found the service to be very good. Our waiter, Eric, was a very polite and knowledgeable about the food and the wine list (which is extensive). For our appetizer we had the baked Brie, which was at the perfect serving temperature. I ordered the herb-roasted chicken, which I found to be delicious, served with gnocchi and baby zucchini. My husband had the stuffed pan roasted trout. He enjoyed every bite. He especially enjoyed the carrot ginger soup that he got with his meal. Then we had the soufflé's for dessert, these are served in pairs. All accompanied by a nice bottle of wine. I like the fact that you get a meal with soup or salad rather than having to order everything ala carte. Our evening was topped off by a visit from the Chef, whom we thanked for a wonderful meal that made our anniversary extra special. We will be returning very soon.

For an elegant, "old school" dining experience that you dont often find anymore, head to thee bungalow. The charecter and charm of the restaurant is almost as impressive as the food. Try the early bird special for a really great deal!
