Steer Clear / Proceed with extreme caution
I used Tom Britten for a branding project, and was adequately happy with the quality of the work. However, he never delivered the assets and source files that were promised even though payment was made in full. Additionally, he completely vacated another project, keeping the 50% deposit. I would not recommend to use Tom Britten, however if you do decide to use him as a vendor be sure to do the following:
1) Get a signed detailed list of deliverables BEFORE you begin any work.
2) Get a full signed contract up front covering all applicable legal issues. (Verbal promises are made that don't come to fruition.)
3) Do not make a final payment until ALL assets are delivered.
4) Make sure deliverable dates are written in the agreement, and be sure to stay on him about those dates.
