I've been going to Thomas Eye Group since it was in the old Shoney's building and would never go anywhere else. Dr. Newman is extremely kind, caring and attentive. I trust my eyes completely with him... and the staff. It is not always the cheapest place to go, but it is certainly the best.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Our 4 year old son had his first eye appointment this week. We were just hoping that he would not freak out and be good, lol, and it actually turned out to be a wonderful experience thanks to Dr.... Lipsky and everyone involved. First Impression: The office is very large and has kiosks that you check in at which was different. There is an enormous fish tank in the middle of the office and a play area with a big television playing cartoons for the kids. They separate the kid patients from the adult patients, different rooms, which is great. Service: We must have talked to 4 different nurses and staff before we actually saw our Doctor. They were all very friendly and great with kids. They had my son smiling and he was very comfortable with everyone, which was a relief. When Dr. Lipsky came in, he was amazing. Very good personality, obviously very smart and made us feel like our son had a very thorough check up. Overall: I can't express enough how impressed we were with everyone. We will be bringing our son here as long as we can.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

We recently moved to the Roswell office from the Perimeter location and still get to see Dr. Lipsky. The staff was extremely friendly and Dr. Lipsky was great with the children as usual. He always has a big, sweet smile and takes his time to explain everything. I was also very impressed with the office. There was a gigantic fish tank that the kids love and a theater to watch cartoons while we waited.
Poorest customer service ever. After 2 phone calls to find out when my contacts will arrive (a week late), then another 2 calls to find out when I can get an appointment for fitting my contacts... I still have no appointment. Talked to the supervisor, all she did was put me through to the exact same voice mail I have been dealing with for the last week. Pitiful.
We're very sorry about your experience and understand your frustration. I wish I knew who you were so I could contact you directly to resolve the issue. If this has still not been resolved, could you please contact me at 678-287-7654? We're truly sorry that you have been dealing with this for the last week.
I have never been treated so abusively by a healthcare facility! They are more interested in collecting fees than in the well being of their patients. I am an unemployed student(in the healthcare field)with high deductible insurance. I was seen by Dr. Heit, who was not able to give me a clear or useful diagnosis for pain and double vision in one eye. I was dealing with a number of stressful situations at the time, including a life and death emergency involving a family member, and was waiting to get a confirmation from my insurance of the contracted amount I owed. When I called to pay my bill in full, the billing office refused to accept any payment unless I also payed exorbitant late fees. They were rude and employed abusive dismissive techniques typical of credit collectors. I have never encountered a healthcare facility that refused to accept any payment or refused to work with their patients.Go elsewhere if you have a true medical issue or be prepared to pay high fees and be treated poorly!
We are very sorry to hear about your experience. Our patients are very important to us and we take these reviews very seriously. I wish we knew who you were, so we could address your situation more specifically but we have shared your feedback with our billing and management team and never want our patients to feel this way. Our mission since 1974 has been to improve the quality of people's lives by compassionately providing a lifetime of outstanding eye care. It appears that we let you down this time and we're truly sorry for that.
I've been going to Thomas Eye Group for many years and appreciate the friendly staff and doctors. Especially Dr. Heit. The wait time is moderate but everyone is very thorough with the examination and in the glasses department. I always recommend Thomas Eye Group.
I was completely satisfied with my experience at Thomas Eye Group. There was virtually no waiting except while my eyes were dilating and the staff was friendly and accomodating. Even with all the remodeling of the Roswell office going on, it was a pleasant experience.
I see Dr. Heit and I trust him completely. Anytime I have a question he answers it. He's very open and honest. He has told me things about my vision that have been present for years but other eye doctors never mentioned. He's very thorough and caring. The wait times can be long at times. However, they are expanding the office and think that will improve. I do wish they took other insurance but they only take VSP. I shopped around for glasses last time around and they really aren't more expensive and the service is really good. I've had only minor issues and they addressed those. I started going to Dr. Heit at a friend's recommendation and I've been very happy I did.
We took our 4 year old son in for his for eye appointment. Dr. Lipsky and the whole staff were so patient and amazing. We had a wonderful experience and have recommended this company to all our friends with kids.
We have been using Thomas Eye Group for about 2 years now and have typically had a good experience. At our last appt., we arrived 10 minutes prior to our scheduled time and ended up having to wait over 2 hours. Advising the staff that we had obligations after this appointment had little effect. They were polite, but dismissive. Patients who arrived after us finished before us. I am terribly disappointed. We have enjoyed Dr. Lipsky, but will not be returning.
I finally had Lasik eye surgery and I am so pleased. Believe me, I put it off for a long time because I was really nervous and eye surgery of any kind seemed especially scary. I got tons of opinions first but after listening to all my friends, I decided to go ahead. Let me tell you, I wish I had done it years ago. The procedure was very fast and recovery was also quick. I can see great and I am so happy I don't have to wear contacts or glasses anymore. Don't hesitate. You will be so glad if you do it. Thanks Dr. Livernois, you were fabulous, you got it exactly right and really put me at ease.
I have had one terrible experience with Thoman Eye Group (Alpharetta location) and will never use or recommend any location of them.
I've been going to TEG for years. wait times have always been very long, but I was willing to put up with it for the quality. But the past several visits now, have been unsatisfactory. One of the front desk persons was very condescending. Also one of the ladies in the contact department was extremely rude when I wanted a prescription to take with me (I didn't buy contacts from them because of costs). I will be looking for a new provider.
The optical medical care is excellent and through BUT having a "refraction" done (where you are measured for glasses) IS A WASTE OF YOUR TIME AND YOUR MONEY. Don't ask for all the measurements needed to order your glassed on-line, THIS PROVIDER WILL REFUSE TO GIVE THEM TO YOU. They want you to buy their EXPENSIVE glasses at their store and WILL NOT ASSIST YOU IN SAVING MONEY ON-LINE!!!
I arrived 20 minutes early for my 7:10 am appointment. After a prolonged waiting time in the exam room, an assistant said "the doctor isn't here yet but should be here any minute". He arrived after 8 AM and appeared rushed. He was in the exam room for only 6 minutes before rushing off to the next patient. He may be a technically sound opthamologist, but is not a good doctor.
