Not happy
This office has some major management problems. First of all, you do not check in with a person, you check in with your drivers license at a touch screen! No personal contact here. The tech that I saw was just plain unfriendly, Bruce. This is my second time with him and he just gives me the creeps. My appointment was at 12:30. By 2pm I still hadn't seen my opthamologist, Dr Berman. Although I love Dr Berman, I can't stand dealing with this office. When I went to check out there was a line with five people in front of me and only one person assisting. This office is outrageous.

Fantastic employees and amazing results
Although I've been going to Thomas Eye Group for years now and have always had a pleasant experience with the doctors and staff. However, it was most recently that I realized how great they really are. I finally decided to have eye surgery for the ptosis I've had my entire life - something I'd visited several doctors about in the past with not much hope for a satisfactory fix. Today, two months after surgery I could not be happier with the results. Eye surgery - or any surgery for that matter - can be stressful and scary, but Dr. Neufeld is an amazing surgeon, never makes me wait to see him, fits me in when I panic (over nothing), and takes the time to listen to and answer my LONG list of questions prior to and after surgery. He and his staff made me feel completely comfortable and took care to make sure I had everything I needed. It's not often you come across genuine people in the medical field, but I can truly say that Dr. Neufeld, his staff, and the entire team at Thomas Eye Group takes care to ensure that each and every patient gets the best care possible.

mixed review
Drs. Kaufman and Blasberg are the best!Dr. Kaufman repaired my torn retina, and treated me with respect, even though I was afraid and uninsured. I CANNOT SAY THE SAME FOR THE FINANCIAL DEPT. I was paying off the surgery in segments, and hounded almost daily with demands for payment. I WAS TOLD BY some insolent woman, that I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO COME IN FOR MY RECHECK TILL THE BILL WAS PAID IN FULL!Dr. KAUFMAN was kind and never refused my calls, or concerns. This past week, I had discomfort in my one eye. I WENT TO the lilburn office to see DR. carlisle for a routine eye check up. IT WAS NOTHING LIKE I experienced with DR. kaufman or DR. BLASBERG. DR. carlisle was cold, indifferent. MY diagnosos is a dry eye. I WAS PRESCRIBED A non generic drop for $110. HE WAS AWARE I had no insurance, but HE couldn't take a few minutes to discuss my options FOR TREATMENT. just a lack of empathy and concern. $$$ seems to be priority, instead of patients needs.

Six Sigma Quality - Best There Is
After four years of missing appointments and ignoring my eye care, I finally went to see Dr. Berman. He found real trouble brewing and referred me to Dr. Kaufman. This firm has treated me like an old friend. They are friendliness personified and seem to me to be experts in their field. While some waiting is inevitable in any doctor's office, they make it tolerable and are no worse than the average. Thank goodness that these folks were available and helpful in my hour of need.

Great all-around care
I went to another optometrist in Dunwoody after experiencing some vision issues. After going in for two appointments, my vision worsened when they assured me I needed to downgrade my contact prescription. I made an appointment with Thomas Eye Group after that to get a second opinion. I started off with a tech who gave what was probably the most thorough eye exam I’ve ever had, and then spent a good amount of time with Charles the contact lens specialist going over my options to address my light astigmatism. Dr. Thomas then saw me for an overall evaluation. He was friendly, inquisitive and really made me feel like he cared about improving my vision.
My wife also went to their Ocular Plastic Surgery group across the hall to have a sty remove, after another ophthalmologist decided a surgeon would have to remove it. The procedure was quick and easy and she was in an out of the room within 30 minutes. Overall, I would say it was a good experience for both of us.
I will say that it was a little strange trying to order contacts through their phone system, but their pricing was actually a little cheaper than 1800-contacts with about the same delivery time. I haven’t seen contact lens prices that low at other eye care centers.
