NOT "See" how they are failing in Cust. Serv
Worse service EVER! Got there- waited an hour and 15 min before we were called back. Exam- about 2 min. Placed in the fish tank room to wait more…Saw the Doc.. Spoke to him about the wait.. He said, “Well that’s just how it is in the medical world.” I was shocked out of my mind…I don’t think so. I saw all over his face that he was shocked that I even told him. I explained that scheduling should be handled a little better. He huffed and turned his back to me. Then half discussed my 7 year old son’s progress. A simple- I am sorry your 7,9 & 11 year old was asked to sit there w/ nothing to do that long. They can just forget seeing our children EVER again!! It was horrible!! I don’t see how they can’t SEE that’s just unacceptable. The lobby was FULL of UNHAPPY people!!

Bad business practice; ok eye practice
I was charged for a contact fitting a second time, when a follow-up was what the doctor ordered. I disputed this several times with the contacts department, the doctor, the bookkeeping company and the collections company. There was no way I would pay for services not requested, not ordered by the doctor, nor at all required. Seems this was just a way for their contacts profit center to appear better for the woman that ran itprofit share maybe? They reported to the agencies, so, ok it made a few point difference. My excellent credit remained excellent. But as a result of their bad business practices, they lost several patients. (Some they do not even know about!) Go elsewhere.

Profit only-Rip off
I got appointment on 03/23/2010 for my son due to the eye infection. I have CIGNA and EyeMed (vision) insurance through my company. My son is only 18-years-old, but he is still a child. He went over there by himself. They have ordered so-called comprehensive eye exam without our authorization. I supposed to have only $15.00-copay, but they charged him on that day$61.00. My son told me they did eye exam. I didn’t argue with them. After few weeks, they sent me additional bill @$225.00. My insurance told me they billed “comprehensive routine eye exam” instead of medical problem. My insurance will cover any exams as long as it is medical reason. After I called the office three times to ask them to bill with the correct code, they refused to do. They insisted they couldn’t change their medical record because it was “comprehensive eye exam”. If my son really needs, he can go to EyeMed network, which I only pay $20.00 copay. Why did my son go to their office to get ripped off? The reason they refused to submit the correct code is “profit”. That’s all I can think right now. If they can get the same amount from insurance as they billed me, why don’t they re-submit? I believe there are restrictions from insurance company. They couldn’t charge as their wishes. I called few optical eye shops in Atlanta such as: Lenscraft. The price range is from $69.00 to $179.00, but I got charged $286.00. I just want to share my story with you. To be aware of Thomas Eye Group-that is a ripoff office

Beware.... profit in mind not your well
We though our son was having a problem with his eyesight. On photos you could tell his left eye wasn’t straight. With that concern in mind we set up an appointment there. They did a series of test and they look at the pictures.
The result: there was not a problem. The technician explains us that the problem was just an optical illusion. That his nose bridge was to wide still and therefore his eye shape wasn’t completely shoving. Fool of us, we let that go!. Months later when we continue to see the same pattern, we decide to try a real medical place. Emory Vision Clinic. They found out that our son has amblyopia, he needed to wear a patch for several hours daily and for several months to correct this. Also that he needs to wear glasses. They told us that the earlier the better in solving all his problems. In conclusion, if the quacks over there would have done their job, my son will be better by now. Please don’t sacrifice piece of mind for saving a few bucks.

Don't look anywhere else.
Doctors are wonderful. Their education, experience, scope of practice, services, facilities are top notch. There is an expert for every aspect of care. Office runs well, everyone is very pleasant. Never had a question regarding the quality of care and wouldn't go anywhere else.
