My experience with TLC Rents was horrible. I found Reuben and Grace to be shady and liars. I called up TLC 11/10/13 and spoke with Grace to request a highboy table, which she told me they had in-stock and was available. In less than 1/2 hour after speaking with Grace I arrived at TLC to pay for and pick up the highboy. Grace was on the phone when I arrived so Reuben was the one I spoke with regarding why I was there. He was not friendly or welcoming and proceeded to tell me that they had no HB in-stock. I told him I spoke with Grace a few minutes ago and she confirmed that there was a highboy available and that I can come right away to collect it. It was obvious that something had changed or something untoward was taking place with me renting this HB. Eventually I met with Grace who tried to change her talk about the HB being available. After a few awkward minutes of being back and forth with Reuben and fiddling with the phone suddenly a HB was available. However the size (30"rd x 42"tall) I requested and told was available I did not received, instead I was given a 24"rd x 42" tall. They never informed me that they were changing the size. Even though I realized that that size was different than what I had requested, I did not make any fuss about this because the price was the same for both size and I felt that they had some reservation about having me as a customer.

I rented from TLC for our wedding reception in October 2012. Reuben called me at 8pm on Friday to say there was a "snafu" and they would not be able to deliver until 3pm day of our event that started at 4pm. I told him that would not work, we needed it in the morning so we could set up; he hung up on me so I called him back thinking it was a cell phone problem. He told me to "get over it" our party didn't start until 4pm and hung up on me again. My husband then called back to talk with Rueben, he hung up on him as well. In our limo ride just after getting married we had to scramble for plan B, called Rueben to say cancel everything as I have never been treated sp terrible, as before he hung up on me once again. I would NEVER EVER recommend this company to anyone.

I hired TLC for a very small order of tables and linens. They never bothered to tell me that I needed to sign a contract or that they had never received the credit card information I faxed over more than a week ahead. I called the day before my event to ensure that everything was taken care of and the sales rep called me back after 4pm to tell me that they didn't have my payment information or my contract in order to complete my delivery the next day. When I spoke with the sales rep the next morning (the day of my event), he was incredibly rude to me. He said he would email me the contract - except for he never asked for my email address. I called back to give the email address and was told by a different sales rep "Yes, I think that was the main problem yesterday, that he didn't have your email." I had just talked to him ten minutes before! Why didn't he ask for my email address then?? Then the original sales rep had to call me back and tell me "I called your office and got your email address already" and then hung up on me. I actually called back to apologize to the guy, hoping that he would not purposefully screw up my order, and he did nothing but get defensive and tell me how meticulous they are for 15 minutes. Clearly this is not the case, since my order very nearly 'fell through the cracks.' Then he hung up on me again. He NEVER bothered to apologize for the confusion or anything. He just acted like I was the one who had done something wrong. What a jerk!
