I'd heard good things about this restaurant, but perhaps it's past its prime? All I know is, as of today it's certainly nothing to get excited about. The service was terrible and it was an extremely slow night! Our waiter was neglectful and tried to hide the fact that he'd added in the gratuity for our party of 6. The food was standard fare that I'd expect from a cheaper establishment. There are too many good places in this town -- why go here?

My husband and I have eaten at Toast many times for Sunday Brunch, and Lunch and Dinner. We always have a great experience. The food is delicious, the space is comfortable, and the service is friendly. Anybody who misses Delectables in the downtown library will be delighted to find the same folks in the kitchen at Toast! Be sure and go for Dinner at Toast. We've been twice and it is a treat.

I had been wanting to try toast for a long time because of the unique decor. I tried for Sunday brunch, and was disappointed at the long wait for food, even though it was not that crowded and the service. The food didnt make up for it either, with bland taste and small portions. Overall, not too impressive.
