Nearly Died of Food Poisoning
April 1, 2011 I ordered in my usual red curry (thai hot) but ordered with chicken instead of shrimp and squid. About 30 minutes after eating, I felt a cramp and major stomach ache and immediately had to vomit. the pain subsided somewhat but then over the next 5 or 6 hours came back with such force I thought I was going to pass out. Diarrea and vomitting were so severe I couldn't even take a sip of pedialite. With great fear that my kids might find me lying in my own waste and unconcious, I mustered up the energy to grab the phone and dial 911. I let them know that I was suffering from severe food poisoning. I was taken to Piedmont Hospital and treated with an IV full of fluids, antibiotics and morphine and anti-nausea medicine. The pain was still unforgiving. I was released from Piedmont the next day with orders to take high doses of several antibiotics, lots of fluids, pain medication, and more anti-nausea meds. I contacted Top Spice soon after to relay the news of my food poisoning and they referred me to their insurance company who quickly decided that they would not help with the medical bills. I even returned all the food ($28.00 worth) to Top Spice to have their insurance company run a food borne illness check on itinstead they threw it out and, never had it checked and never even refunded my money for the food. My family and friends and I have eaten at this Top Spice for the last 4-5 years on a weekly basis. I am so upset that I can no longer eat there, but I also do not ever want to go through that pain again. I urge all of you thinking of dining at this restaraunt to make another choice as there are many great Thai restaurants in the area, such as Thai Diner in the Kroger shopping center. In the meantime, I will be suing Top Spice for the nearly $8,000 of medical bills incurred from eating their spoiled food. I urge you to find a new Thai place to dine....

Average, poor service
Food is good, there is no denying but the Service is not too good. The waitresses seem to have a forboding frown on their faces and look like they are forced to work there. Never felt comfortable asking them for anything.

Much better Thai place is just further sooutn cobb parkway in the Kroger shopping complex.

Great Food & Service..
Went there for lunch.. ordered their appetizer Roti and Satay Chicken. not bad at all .. lunch specials comes with soup and rice portion is pretty decenthad the Panang Curry . which was out of the world.. my friend ordered the Masaman Curry .. which was equally good.. the Roti was done just right..not oily at all.. and the Satay portion was big by my standard.. my friend liked the coconut soup with comes with the lunch.. just creamy enough without being too thick and with a hint of lime juice .. just enough to give the soup its subtle flavour..they have a full bar but we did not order any drinks from the bar. thinking of going back for dinner soon.....

Great Thai food, great service, great value
Thai Food is my favorite. Top Spice consistently serves probably the best Thai in Atlanta. I only go for lunch. but for $8-$10 you get soup and a decent lunch entree. I highly reccommend Beef Rendang, Char Kway Tyow, Spicy Catfish, and Spicy Basil Leaf- these dishes never dissapoint. If you are a Thai expert like me get thai hot and brown rice.

Good, but not great.
I came in for lunch and ordered jasmine tea. It was served with a tea mug, a tea bag I had to take out of the package, and a plastic thermal carafe full of hot water. This cost $2.50. That's what loose-leaf tea steeped in a cast-iron teapot served in a small cup should cost. Anyway, I ordered a vegetable dish. It was good, nothing special, but not bad, either. No chopsticks in sight. I could have asked for them, but I shouldn't have to. The piano music CD was relaxing and classy. The atmosphere was not highly ambient, but clean and attractive. Ha: the waiter was hitting on this poor single girl on her lunch break at the table behind me asking her none-of-your-business type questions. She clearly didn't want to be approached and was being as tactful about it as possible, but the waiter still wouldn't quit. She got her food to go instead. I was so happy for her that she did that. Even being a fly-on-the-wall to that incident gave me the creeps. There are much better Thai lunch spots in Atlanta than this one, especially for the price.
