Toyota Carlsbad

I recently took my vehicle to Toyota Carlsbad for service. I had the best experience in the world. I first called in and got their call center. I was helped by a person named Steve G. He was most understanding on the phone. He answered all the questions I threw at him he was very knowledgeable. I was impressed. He set me up with an appointment and I was definitely looking forward to my visit. I arrived I pulled right in and a greeter met me with a smile opened my door and asked me how I was doing. He took my information walked me right up to the service advisor and introduced me. The advisor made me feel comfortable was very honest with me. I even got to meet the Service Manager. I believe his name was David Marchand. He had a smile on his face as well he shacked my hand asked me if he could help me with anything. I was impressed it looked like he took pride with his store. He was out helping his guys not stuck and hiding in his office. I picked up my vehicle they washed it for me what else could I ask for. I definitely recommend you give them a try.

We bought a Toyota Tacoma from them. Deal was okay after dragging it out of them (like pulling wisdom teeth). Not great service at all. We dealt with two different salesman and neither were very nice to us, even after buying the vehicle. One treated us like we were idiots. Every car salesperson there was very snobby to us - you know, because we all should be so fortunate to have such a successful career as a car salesman, right?

My first post on this issue was very negetave about this dealership. But as it turns out the person handling my concern had dropped the ball. That person has since left the dealership.

I finally was able to speak to a customer care representative who listened to my concerns and was able to provide a satisfactory resolution. I am completely satisfied now.

Sometimes just persisting – patiently and calmly with respect, you will eventually get a person who can provide a solution.

It turns out the negative feelings I had about this dealership were caused by one person who was doing a poor job of follow-up and eventually left the dealership leaving some unresolved issues and unhappy customers.

1.On my last visit I found service items checked as done but they were not.
2. I now have a Scion. It is supposed to get 2 free oil changes. when I called these guys they wanted to charge me for this.
3. The last time I went there to buy a car they would not talk price unless I committed to buy from them that day. I said no thanks. (I already had a price from Toyota Escondido 15 miles away.) I later called the sales manager and he verified that they will not quote a price because I could go somewhere else to get a cheaper price. However, if I already have a price from somewhere else he wanted the chance to beat their price.

The first few times I went to Toyota Carlsbad for servicing, I wasn't that happy. The work was done well, but the personnel weren't as friendly as they could have been, and the process took a long time. However, my most recent visit was a 180 degree turnaround. The staff was friendly and helpful, the service was quick and efficient, and everything was much improved.
