A friend recommended Traditions in Tile when I was looking to install a backsplash in our kitchen. Great recommendation. When I visited the showroom, they were extremely helpful assisting my wife and I in choosing the backsplash that worked best for our kitchen. They arranged the installation, and a couple of days later we had a backsplash we were extremely pleased with. Quality selection, great service, and a very good price. I would recommend them to anyone.

I went to Traditions in Tile because my general contractor used them. I found their selections lacking, but, ordered the slate for my laundry room from them as a test. I selected this slate because it was on their showroom floor and figured it was standing up to traffic well. BIG MISTAKE. The tiles were 'out-of-square' and had large holes in them. I know slate has bumps and holes, but, over 20 holes in one tile? Some were over an inch wide and completely through the tile! This is totally is unacceptable. Plus, there were numerous tiles that split in half from simply picking them up. I did not pay $6/sf to spend my time picking out individual tiles. I can do that at Floor & Decor for $1 a square foot. I'm just glad I waited to order the stone for the rest of the house (500sf). It certainly will not come from Traditions in Tile.

I always vowed to write a review of this absolutely terrible tile company when the proper venue was available. Thank you Kudzu and I can only hope thousands of people read this. We renovated our home many years ago and selected Traditions in Tile because of a decent showroom and good selection of tile. If all you are going to do is SOURCE your tile through them, they may be acceptable. Never EVER allow them to arrange installation as they source jobs out to idiots who cant tell which end of the trowel to use. Do you know how infuriating it is to see what a miserable job they did every morning when you walk into your bathroom?? I sent several faxes and made many phone calls to speak with their owne/president only to be told I could not talk with him, but that he read faxes. How ridiculous. I plan to do an extensive kitchen remodel this spring and feel SOooo good about not even considering them. They are terrible and you will be sorry.
