Being the owner of an abnormally hairy black lab, I have been to more than 3 dog groomers. I was ready and willing to exchange hairy house for psychologically stable dog because of the stressful and unprofessional experiences they all left us with. Luckily for my house, guests, and lungs I found U shampooch. Clean, efficient, personable staff, Professional, an overall zen like environment, I actually leave U Shampooch feeling less stressed. The owner has a very friendly, cool-calm yet assertive attitude that dogs seem to recognize and respect. I give this business my full recommendation. We normally go to Poochy Klean to wash our two dogs but we decided to try U Shampooch because it is closer to our house. The owner was very nice and helpful but they don't offer the same things that Poochy Klean does and were more expensive. At Poochy Klean we can get our dogs washed for $10 and it comes with the use of shampoos, conditioners, nail clippers, ear and eye cleaners, various brushes and scissors, dryers, etc and the owners are very nice and helpful too. At U Shampooch is cost $14 per dog and only came with shampoo and a dryer. Not worth the increase in price.

Just got back from a wonderful experience at U Shampooch Self Service Dog Wash...Took all 3 salukis there. There was a crate nearby to put 2 of them whilst one was being shampooed. This place supplies rubber lead that hooks on the wall of the walk in raised tub, rubber aprons, wash cloths, towels, a selection of shampo...os to use (included in price). Very clean, no odors and the owner is a doggie man and a fun person that guides you along the way. I'll go back, I will Darryl!! ;-)

I find it interesting that the only reviews on Kudzu are the positive ones. Guess people aren't interested in registering. I am of the same mind about the other negative reviews of this establishment that you'll find on other review sites. The owner is quite rude and confrontational. I could probably let this pass without really letting it bother me but the proverbial straw was his open discrimination of dog breeds. He refuses to allow you to clean double coated breeds or any dog with longer hair because of exactly what another reviewer said..."the owner doesn't like dog hair" At first, I thought it was a joke but sure enough. The owner flat out tells you that your animals are not welcomed. I wish I could have had an opportunity to at least judge this establishment on everything but we didn't even make it past the counter. Anyway...for a better self serve dog washing experience, visit Poochy Clean on Durango across from Desert Breeze Park. The owners of that establishment are former dog show handlers and always helpful...regardless of the breed you bring in. Not to mention their prices being anywhere from 25-50% less.

I have three large German Shepherds that I take to U-Shampooch every other month. Two of my dogs love to get a bath and the other one "freaks out" when getting washed. The owner is very helpful with my crazy dog. I am sure this is the only place in town where the owner would help to the degree that this guy does. WE LOVE U-SHAMPOOCH

UShampooch is the only place to take your dog to clean them...it is that simple. This place is top-notch. The equipment is top of the line, the service is through the roof, and our dog is 100% in love with the whole experience we share...I feel bad I didn't find the place sooner. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

I checked out the website and was skeptical at first though the pictures online didn't show much but when I finally went in to check it out it was SERIOUSLY AMAZING! The entire place is squeaky clean not to mention Darrell was VERY helpful. Its AWESOME to give my dog a bath at a very affordable price. Its alot easier to give my dog a bath in a doggie bath than in my own bath or back yard, plus they supply everything you need from shampoo, bath brush, squeegie, and a dryer. WELL WORTH IT! I'm planning to go on a weekly basis now to keep my doggie CLEAN! :)

Darrell has an amazing business ethic and his shop, EXCEPTIONAL STAR quality! It's above par, clean, well-stocked, warm and friendly, everything I need for my doggie, and my kitties. There's always a friendly smile greeting me and excellent advice/recommendations for my "customized dog and kitty foods". He shares with me the best products for the health and longevity of my babies; keeps me up to date on pet food ingredients and when a better tailored product comes along. I trust he's done the formulation research and asked the poignant questions to determine what's best for his customers and their four-legged furry friends. For my Heinz 57 pound doggie, he recently suggested a food that is better manufactured and with ingredients that are a higher quality with no grain, corn, fillers or ethoxyquin (a rubber stabalizer for tires, used in most pet foods as a preservative). In fact, the new dog food he suggested, Acana Pacifica Three Fish, I can't scoop it up and get it in the bowl fast enough for my Frisbee girl, she's scarfing it up before I've emptied her food scooper. The last brand I used, I needed to "doctor it up" with a tablespoon of wet. My kitties also switched to the new Acana brand and love it! Darryl is a class act and his excellent customer service is extraordinary! I also enjoy his Sophie girl's sparkle and she enjoys my every pet when I visit the shop! :)

This is the best place by far to take your dog for a do it yourself wash. @ ushampooch you are given all the things you need to wash your dog...from shampoo, towels, aprons, everything! The employees are friendly and always helpful...especially Darrell!! It makes the whole experience fun and easy! Definitely much easier than doing it at home. It's also a one stop shop where you can get toys, food & treats for your dog and they only sell the top of the line stuff so you know it's good for your dog! A definitely must see!! Go check it out!

If you are looking for a clean facility w/top notch customer service you have found the right place. I have 3 dogs, 2 which are 75lbs+. Bathing them at home can be quite a task!I love bathing them here. The facility is super clean, and Darrell provides you w/everything you need (yummy smelling shampoos, all the towels, an apron so you don't get wet, and a treat for your pet)I also buy my dog food here and Darell always walks it out to my car and places it in the trunk. He is very personable, loves dogs and really knows what catering to the customer is. I highly recommend this place to anyone who expects great customer service!!!
