I am really grateful for places like this where you can read or tell your experiences before making a decision on hiring a company. I just wish I would of read these reviews BEFORE hiring the idiots!! I hired 2 men to move stuff out of my place and into a truck while my carpets were replaced. 12 pieces of furniture total, I did ALL else!! I used my bathrooms and tiles floors as storage. I even paid them to sit in the truck and wait for my carpets to be replaced. They Sent 2 LITTLE guys in a Budget truck over who were VERY OBVIOUSLY NOT professionals. They damaged much of my furniture. Did not have a method on how they calculated an amount, instead just picked a total out of the sky. A total we had not agreed on and no where close. DID NOT complete my contract fully, nothing itemized or anything!! They had obviously never does this before. They charged my credit card and UNBELIEVEABLE amount WITHOUT my authorization or signature. The owner, Jennifer Gillon has still not returned my calls and emails and they have not credited back my CC the over 200 dollars they owe me. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau AND filed fraud charges on them with my credit card company. Neither of which they have responded to. One star is too much if you ask me! BEWARE!! You others should write a review for Yellow pages as well!! Thats how I found them.

The movers never arrived by 10am. I called and was told the truck was hit by 18 wheeler, however they were making arrangemtns for another truck and crew. I kept asking are you sure you can make the move because I need to be out on Friday. "Oh yes" was there reply throughout all the conversations I had with them on Friday. At 5pm they called to say the new truck was on I85 stuck in traffic but they would be there. At 830pm the driver called to say the other two men would not come because it was too late and it would only be him and the truck. I have an upstairs and asked how was he going to move my heavy furniture. He said I could help him. I told him that would not work becuase I'm not able to lift anything heavy. Not to mention that is why I hired them. I had to get another mover for Saturday on short notice. I called on Monday to complain and speak to the owner, Ms. Gillon. They were rude and told me I cancelled the move because I would not let the truck driver come at 9pm and I help him load my furniture. They refuse to put the owner on the phone or tell me when she would be in the office. They gave me a physical address for the company but I doubt if it's correct. With all the lies they told, my guess is they over booked and they lied about the accident. This was the worst. I wish I could rate it beyond a poor. BEWARE

I read one of the Kudzu reviews about USA movers, stating that they hit you up with last minute hidden charges. I specifically asked if there were any hidden charges beyond the $80 or so an hour, and they said NO, that blankets and tape were included, and IF I wanted anything wrapped in bubble wrap, its was $15. So moving day comes, and they were supposed to be there between 8-9am. They show up at 11am because they were supposedly lost. They worked real slow, complaining the entire time, and of course the truck breaks down in the middle of it all. They even tried to leave a bunch of my furniture on our yard, and not put back together the bed frames, until I called the office for the 30th time that day to complain. Then the HIDDEN CHARGES come out, $15 for the TV, $15 for the bed, etc... you know, things that are out of the ordinary like a TV and bed, which most people don't usually move. I called the office to dispute these charge, but of course, got nowhere. THIS COMPANY IS TERRIBLE, DO NOT USE THEM - I told them about the "hidden charges" post on Kudzu, and before I committed to them, they promised it wasn't true. But of course like the other post says, when they hold your stuff, you have to pay. In case this hasn't come across, THIS COMPANY SUCKS, really really bad. Not worth the one star.

I have no beef with their hard working employees, but I do question their charges. First, they grossly underestimated the amount of time to move a typical three bedroom house. Then they hit us up with some extraordinary additional charges. Who's to argue with them when they are holding your property hostage at 1:00 in the morning. If you question any charges after the fact, the manager/owner will not return your calls. BEWARE.
