My kid has been enrolled for over a year and we couldn't be much happier. The instructors are all great and work well with the kids. What they teach is not just about fighting, but about working hard, discipline, confidence and many more important life skills. If you've been thinking about enrolling in martial arts, you should definitely give this school a try, you won't regret it.

I had previously trained in Taekwondo, but was more interested in finding a martial arts school that taught more traditional and "realistic" karate. Although many schools emphasize fitness and discipline, I wasn't one of those looking specifically for fitness--as fitness is only secondary to actually learning techniques and being able to incorporate what I learn on a daily basis. So far, after training here for a year and a half, I have found the instructors to be the most knowledgeable in their field. After rigourous training, I was able to win two gold medals in the 2012 USA Nationals as an adult. Therefore, if someone is a serious karateka, the sky is the limit in what he or she is able to learn here. Whether you're pursuing karate for fitness, self defense, or for competition, you'll find this dojo will far exceed your expectations.

I had trained in karate in my mid 20's so when my son, then 4 years old, showed an interest I started shopping around and I am so glad that I did! He took the introductory classes at UKF and loved it! The instructors are great with the children. They have fun while learning the importance of discipline and respect. After he had been training for 6 months I decided I couldn't just watch any longer and I joined as well. Shihan Lamei and the other instructors at the school have been very supportive in helping me pick back up where I left off. Since joining UKF I have seen a big difference in the way my body looks & feels. With just the warm-up and techniques my body is more toned, my upper body is stronger and my energy level has increased tremendously. Besides getting in shape karate teaches you balance, faster reflexes & effective self defense techniques that could come in useful in your everyday life. Whether you are looking to for a great work out, interested in excelling in karate or looking for a great after school activity for your child UKF is the place to be!

My six year old daughter has been interested in martial arts since seeing Kung Fu Panda a few years back. We just happened to run across a coupon for Ultimate Karate and Fitness (UKF) and decided to try them out. I have been very impressed with the instructors at UKF. They are extremely patient with the students yet also very firm. My daughter is learning to focus her energies in positive directions and I can truly see how it is having a positive effect in her everyday life including soccer which is the other sport she is involved with. They are teaching her that she is in control of her own accomplishments. This is karate so it is as much about mind as it is body. Once the students reach a certain age they compete at local and regional events. Just recently several UKF students won medals at a National event. The cost is right in line with some of the other places that we looked at. Also, there are some great perks such as free karate birthday parties for UKF members. We had our daughter's party there this year and it was a huge success and she felt like a star when she got to break a board in front of all of her friends. In addition, they pull out a special surprise for the kids on occasion such as a T-shirt or stuffed animal. I would definitely recommend Ultimate Karate and Fitness to anyone looking for a great Dojo for their child.

My son found a coupon for Ultimate karate and Fitness and asked if we would let him take the month of lessons advertised. We found the Shihan to be a good listener and patient with our questions. He told us about the instruction methods and the principles of Karate which would be strictly observed. He encouraged us to take advantage of the unlimited training available under the membership. We have - my son is now in the Dojo more than 10 hours per week. The instructors take time to know him and to motivate him. I have seen big changes in my son's athleticism and character in the 8 months he has been a member. We are very pleased with the instruction and with the value. I have been impressed with the large number of young people who have continued to train here for several years.

I'm impressed at how much my son has learned in just 3 months of instruction at Ultimate. This is a great place for young and older students. The instructors don't cut corners, like some other places that just want your money and give out belts. You have to earn the next belt, but they teach you all you need to know to get to the next level. It's also a great workout too.

The owner of this company is very rude. I purchased two Half Off Depot certificates for my children in the spring, with an expiration date of October 3rd 2012 for one free month of lessons for both. I called in October and got no answer. The class schedule calendar on their site is blank. Finally, I drove there in person at 11 am on October 3rd and they were locked up tight during their normal posted business hours. I called and did not get a call back. I called again two days later and finally got the owner. He said he was out at the bank when I came by. Fine, but he also refused to honor the certificates for the month of free lessons. He was very rude and said it was my bad luck he was closed when I drove there. In my mind, he has ripped me off for $40 I paid for a month of lessons for my kids. It's not my fault he was closed during his posted business hours, and I shouldn't be penalized for that. At least I found out what a rude ill-managed, dishonest place this is before I brought my kids there. I'm glad they weren't in the middle of this.

UKF is wonderful place where world-class instructors foster an environment that encourages physical and mental development. They emphasize respect, discipline and perseverance. My kids, ages 6 and 8, are as excited to go to their class today, as if it were the very first time they stepped into this facility 16 months ago. It says a lot when you can maintain the interest of kids their age. They have significantly improved their focus and it's manifested by excellent grades in school. Last year, both kids were able to run 5ks and do a hundred push-ups. Their flexibility and endurance has significantly improved. Karate and UKF equipped them with self-confidence and knowledge so they are able to deal with bullies. After a little over a year of training, they are both winning tournaments and have qualified for the USA National Karate Championships. Shihan Siamak Lamei is instrumental in their success. He demands the very best of all the students, special needs or otherwise, and make accommodations as needed. He is very passionate both in his love of karate as well as in teaching it. Thanks UKF.

Our son has mild autism and karate was recommended to us by his specialist. It has made a big difference in his performance at school. He has become more focused and responsible in class. Even though he is different, he is treated the same as the other students. Both our kids have been attending for over 2 years and the results are better than we expected. Karate has given them tools they will be able to use throughout their lives. It is a great workout for them to stay fit. I recommend it to anyone with kids. We love the instructors at this dojo, they really care about our kids.

We live in Marietta and I was searching for a karate school school in the area when I chose Ultimate Karate for my teenage son. They believe in teaching your kids not only Karate and Fitness but also the instructors emphasize on respect and self discipline, which was one of the qualities we were looking for. We highly recommend this school for anyone living in the Marietta and Sandy Plains area.

My son has been going here for a year (started at 4.5yrs old) and LOVES it. The class is well run, and the kids are expected to show respect and discipline. But it's still fun for them. I am really happy with the program and the instructors. Highly recommend it for any age, but especially for the younger ones to get started.

My son, 4.5 years old, started Karate in April and he has loved going to every class. The instructors are great with kids and regardless of the class size (which is not crowded at all for the youngest group) each kid gets individual attention. I highly recommend Ultimate Karate and Fitness.
