My rating is about the business practices of Undisputed in El Cajon, not the actual gym. I signed my teenaged son up for a monthly membership. He went 2 times and realized it wasn't for him. I went to cancel his membership and the employee at the time (no longer works there) said freezing his account is the same as cancelling but you can return without paying a new membership fee. There were no standard forms, but literally just a handwritten note on a piece of paper. I wrote to freeze the account until further notice. 3 months later I receive a bill from them. They tell me now that freezing is only a courtesy, lasts 3 months and I now must pay another month in order to cancel. I spoke with the manager, Mike, who was unyielding and rude to both myself and my wife. I then spoke with the owner, Stuart, who was more respectful but insisted the extra months charge was valid. He said that we could use the gym for that final month. Nice of him to offer to let us use the gym for the month we were forced to pay for! Bottom line, be very cautious with this gym and their rules/contracts. Don't believe what their employees tell you as the mgr/owner only goes by the exactly what is written by you or in the contract. Since they don't have any official forms for freezing/cancelling membership (very unprofessional), be careful how you write any notes on your account. We ended up paying over $500 for just two visits. In my opinion, there are other much better/professional gyms out there.

Just joined a couple weeks ago and even for a beginner this place is great. Everyone has been extremely friendly and helpful. Very glad I made the decision to join.

I just signed up here when they first opened and have nothing but great things to say. I've been to a handful of other gyms in San Diego and this gym truely cares about their members. The classes and trainers are great and want you to do well and succeed. I've had a couple friends who are newcomers to the sport of MMA come and join and they were blown away as well. There was no attitude towards them from the trainers or other students there. Everyone is just part of one big family. I highly recommend you check this place out.
