Good Experiences
We have used this er vet approximately 10 times, and with the exception of the last visit, we have always been extremely happy with the staff and doctors. They recommended treatment that our regular vet didn't have any knowledge of, and that info really helped out my cat.
Our last visit, however, was with Dr. Streithof, whom we had never seen before. We were very unhappy with her lack of compassion and her attitude. Our vet told us to take one of our cats there, as she was having labored breathing. The dr told us she heard no complications, and she did not want to do x-rays. Our cat was diagnosed that Monday with a heart condition, and we were scared and trying to help her, and her attitude was very cold. She told us that many times cats with heart conditions were fine in the office and then died on the way home from the stress. After hearing that, we wanted to do the xrays to make sure everything was ok, so they did them. After she read them, she kept calling our female cat a "him," which made me wonder how thoroughly she examined her. It really broke my heart that my cat was sick and that the doctor really didn't seem to care, didn't make any suggestions as to how we could help her, and that she was so unfriendly to us. It seemed to be a busy night, but that is no excuse for the treatment we received.
I would still use this hospital, as every time before we absolutely loved the vets and the staff; however, I plan on calling to check to see which doctor is on staff
