VCA Buckhead Animal Hospital is a veterinary facility based in Atlanta, GA, where your pet's health is our top priority and excellent service is our goal.
Several of the latest reviews of this vet indicate it has gone downhill recently. They're correct. We've been taking our pets to Buckhead Animal Clinic for years, and our most recent visit was the last straw. We will not be visiting BAC again, ever. It started about a year ago, I'd suppose. Our pets are pretty sickly, so we have fairly regular trips to the vet. Of the last four trips, I've walked out dissatisfied every single time. The attention to the animals has started to play second fiddle to upselling unnecessary and unneeded services to the owners of the pets. After submitting my dog to these 'vets' three times for the same issue, getting the same old 'It could be this, that or the other thing, we're not really sure,' and walking out for a third time with a $500+ vet bill for what was, essentially, a bottle of shampoo, I've had it. Goodbye VCA BAC, I'll be getting serviced elsewhere. I won't return my animals to this place, and recommend you never take yours there either.

I have had several good experiences with this vet lately. What prompted me to write this review is that the people that answer the phone and the front desk staff are wonderful! They give outstanding service and really seem to care. This is one area many vets overlook, and it really impacts a client's perspective of the business. Dr. Craft provided good phone follow up to check on my pet. I would happily take any pet here for routine care or minor emergencies. I feel that the money I paid was well spent and that my pet and I were valued as individuals. My preferences and my pets were taken into account while providing appropriate medical treatment. Thank you!

I've used this vet hospital for several years and was initially pleased, primarily because of Dr. Nath (she's at Peachtree Hills now). The rest are too busy to be bothered or have no idea what's wrong but can't say so. ARROGANCE has become a very noticable characteristic and front desk staff can't stop their personal conversations long enough to answer pet owner. I've moved on.

We been using BAC for years, roughly 10 to be exact and over the past couple of years their service has really gone downhill. From poor diagnosis that nearly cost one of our dogs lives to sending another one home without antibiotics after he was neutered and the final straw was their overall attitude. It really seems they have become a high volume shop and couldn't care less about customer service.

First they wanted to put my dog to sleep over a broken leg--she's healed now and walking and playing fine. In general, the people here have been very rude and snobby to me and I always feel like I'm getting ripped off. I will not go back, there are better vet clinics.

I went to this clinic on the advise of a neighbor, and I had to wait to see the vet for 30 minutes even though I had an appointment. Once we were in an exam room, a tech came and took my dog, who I warned her was extreemly timid in new situtations, and refused to allow me to go with her. They did all of the tests and her shots in the back, so I never saw anything they did to her, and brought her back, and the tech was complaining that my dog had emptied an anal gland on her because she was terrified. I was able to see the Doctor for about 5 minutes, and the bill was outragous!! I can't even prove any of it was done to my dog because they did it all in another room!

I've been there before and didn't have a problem, so I thought I'd try them again. When I asked for an estimate on how much a treatment will cost, they refused to inform me. I just wanted to know if my dog did have the problem I thought he had, how much would it cost to test and treat. Since they were unwilling to work with me on this, I took him somewhere that the front desk staff were helpful, and seemed a lot more knowledgeable. I'm so glad that I did!

My two pets mean the world to me and all of the vets at Buckhead Animal Clinic have treated them like their own. The clinic is walk in with minimal waits which makes it convenient for my schedule and they are even open Saturdays. I won't trust anyone else with my furry friends!

I love that because they are an all-day walk-in clinic, I can drive over to Buckhead Animal Clinic at anytime, for any reason, and be seen within a relatively short period of time. I have brought my two dogs (aka my children) there for major issues like chronic vomiting, to simpler things like ear infections and annual shots, and have never been dissapointed. The vet staff are all compasionate, patient and very knowledgeble. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

I've taken my cat to Buckhead Animal Clinic for years. 4 months ago, I asked for her to be screened for Cancer. I was told she seemed fine, didn't have any symptoms, not to worry. Two months later, there was a bump on her skin. It was Cancer. After removing it, got Xrays, ultrasound. All clear. Asked if my cat should get Chemo. They don't carry it. Less than a month later. Went to another clinic, had another round of tests, xrays and ultrasound done. They found Cancer all over her! I feel we could have prevented the Cancer from spreading if Buckhead Animal Clinic had screened her earlier. Also if their Xray and Ultrsound machines weren't "100 years old" as the Vet said!

I love this vet office! Any vet that you see is extremely nice and loving with your animal. I have no concerns with being rushed during my appointment or who my dog is seen by. Everyone know our pets our like our children and we only want the best for them..Buckhead Animal Clinic is it!

We have taken our frenchie to Buckhead Animal Clinic for nearly a year. The staff has always been pleasant and caring and has treated our puppy with the greatest of care. I've called the vet a few times throughout our puppy's first year to ask general questions, and they have always called me back within a few hours and provided excellent, reassuring advice. Overall, we are very pleased with their level of service and plan to keep taking our pup there throughout the years.

I have been taking my greyhound and two cats there since I moved here six years ago. They are wonderful especially Drs. Mathews and Swartz. My 18 year old cat was very sick and they were wonderful when we had euthanize her. They even make a donation in your pets name to Purdue Vet School. They have been great with my greyhound too. I feel very comfortable with them. They can be pricey but then you get what you pay for which is quality care for your loved ones.

I tried Buckhead Animal clinic based on a referral from a friend. I was skeptical of the no appointment policy. However, I got right in and the exam was very thorough and efficient. I got in and out so quick and it was about 1/2 price of my prior vet! I'm hooked.

Buckhead Animal Clinic is the best. They know how to help your pet when something is wrong. I would take my guys there if there was ever a problem. However, for routine stuff, I might try to find a place a little less expensive. But, if there is a problem. This is the place.
